In 2018, Will Wood and the Tapeworms recorded demo videos of them performing newly arranged renditions of unreleased songs in front of an intimate audience of fans at Backroom Studios in Rockaway, NJ. Originally intended for pitching to labels, these videos were used to help along the process of crowdfunding “The Normal Album” by giving supporters a preview of what may be on the album. These videos were taken down after the album was released, and as Will Wood has worked toward re-tooling his catalog and pre-production on his next album, were kept under wraps until now. This special feature includes new edits, and behind-the-scenes peeks at the process of creating the first ever arrangements of “I/Me/Myself,” “Laplace’s Angel,” and “Memento Mori.”

People talking about I/me/myself need to keep it in their pants. Did you hear EVERY OTHER SONG AS WELL?! Laplaces Angel was awesome. I love the original, but occasionally I feel uninterested in it for periods of time because I need variety, and this means I can just listen to different versions of it without feeling bored!

I'm really happy to see this version again, because it was my favorite version of Laplace's Angel and the first time I heard the song ever, before The Normal Album. It gives me a lot of emotions... Never have I found a singer as complete (talking about his singing skills and composition skills) as Will Wood is. Simply admirable

I don’t think anyone’s said this surprisingly but I love how in the speech for and during memento mori there’s references to love me normally like the 9 o clock 3 o clock also at 17:32

I had put so many memories, and spiritual confusions into a vault, until i could better understand reality, and youve given me courage, and vigor in my search for truth, and reminded me of things i had made myself(for myself, for ease), a younger person, i was like 6, but n o t at alllll ready, Thank you. Keep being fantastic and wise my friend, because ive been trying so hard to get a handle on existence. And you help. Youve answered so many of my hardest questions. Thank you. I just discovered this guy while working offshore, where I listen to music constantly. Laplace's Angel just got me hooked. It's every instrument and style of music that I enjoy combined. It's like the Mars Volta and Panic! At the Disco fucked and made this dude.

*I am a pretty recent Will Wood fan from Mexico (he already was on hiatus when i got into his music) and what the hell i'm just gonna spill my guts here in this comment.* His music means a lot to me but the fact that this video went to raise funds at the Brain & Behavior Research Foundation has me tearing up at the moment so sorry if this sounds like nonsense. I've been on meds and going to therapy since i was 15 years old, and even though it's for another country i don't live in i am SO moved that Will chose to raise funds for this, i'm sorry if this is parasocially weird but that he's choosing to donate to a foundation that is doing much needed mental illness research to better understand and help those who struggle with it instead of relying on an archaic dinosaur of a DSM who therapists don't use very well sometimes has me SOBBING, for what i've heard in his songs i assume he knows how flawed the psychiatry field is and i hope he hasn't been through medical malpractice but i know from a young age what its like for doctors to not know how the f*** to help you, it is not fun. And his music is actually helping in my path to recovery. a month before getting into his music i got a referral for DBT therapy and its the one that's helped me the most, even tho i sometimes struggle with aspects of it i dont like (while venting my frustrations about some dialetics my therapist threw at me I actually said ''well Marsha thankk you for the dialetics but i need you to leave'' out loud at my therapist and that sparked his interest, i sent him the song later and he liked it lol). But one of the aspects i'm struggling with right now is my diagnosis. My psychiatrist said there's no point in getting pigeonhole'd in a diagnosis and i agree (outliars and hyppocrates amirite?) but it's been so stressful to not know what i'm fighting up against. I think its just my false hope that if i know what i'm fighting against i can beat it or control it but deep down i know i can't. Here in Mexico DBT is actually not so accesible for people and even though im privileged enough to get access to it (and to a good psychiatrist) there's so much stuff that we don't understand of mental illness, and the ways doctors can help are very limited. Anyways sorry for rambling but, Will, if you ever get to see this comment 1. I'm sorry this is so long and makes no sense and 2. What you've done matters, from the bottom of my heart and defective brain: *Thank you.* Memento mori peace and love ♥

I'm not going to lie, at first I thought the demo I/Me/Myself was unusual, I preferred the released ver that time. But after listening again, I'm starting to get attached to this. I love Will's songs so much
