if you add an arpeggiator infront of simpler, set simpler slice by BEATS and the beat to 1/4 or 1/8 , then steps to your likings and distance to 1st or 2st or 3st and gate to 101 and then play some notes on your controller to get the hang of it. tons of break madness. of course thats highly experimental and the way stranjahs showed it is the "maximum control about the beat way". anyway nice tut again dr. stranj ^^

Sounds really polished. The mix and presentation on this, sounds spot on. Even with the cliche samples, it sounds like a banger of a track, that wouldn't have been unheard of in the late 90s.
These are great. Love the zeroing in on classic breaks. So few on here do that deep dive and it's timelessly helpful
this video has literally evolved the way i process my breaks, i used to chop them up manually (instant schooled by this video, and i have been making beats a while) this turned my 5/10 breaks now sounding like a 10/10. you learn something new every day. big up

Great video!!! The good days of recycle!! A very power old school program!! We use to use it heavy with reason! We sometimes miss recycle and those Rex files! lol Never new we could open Rex files in Ableton Live! Thanks again for the great video and have a fabulous day!
I use to chop up all my breaks in recycle. But I've found it so much easier now in reason 11 you can literally bounce any breaks in Rex and chop my beats up that's already in the DAW. So much fun and it nicely makes it crisp, snappy and tight. Respect Stranjah great channel.

You had the pitch envelope turned on when you were using Simpler to transpose, so it was effecting each sample making it seem more digital and weird. - Otherwise, great video! Thanks
Hi, Can you tell me if on the Track 'Jah Know Ya Big' - Dilinja, is he using the 'Funky Drummer' Break on it.?? I seem to hear rides across the Break and no open hat at the end.?? No other beat slicing soft does this type of tail stretching... I dont know why... recycle is so old and not updated anymore....
Renee Lavice does a pretty mean remix of Dark Soldiers, was listening to it earlier. Love that hi hat in this break

NERD ALERT!!!! The actual original break came from SUPREME Dj NYBORN and the track was called Versatility. It was released in 1988 two years before 3x Dope’s Mr Sandman who they sampled it from.

Right at the end you hear 1 bar loop ....
It's kinda 🥱, and not cos it's made outa classic pipeline, but done without futuristic flavor, that's because. Btw, *work is clean* . Your mood.
What a boring way to make music, it was a lot more fun back in the day with hardware
