I really should have a go at this. Ever since I first played “The Fantasy Trip”, I have been fascinated by one of their “monsters”: the sentient octopus. Amphibious, multi-armed, and intelligent. So, I present, the Cephalopods! Troops are based around octopi, but there is scope for colossal squids, octopi on squids (or, perhaps, dolphins/ giant seahorses??), etc. Of course, all the units are amphibious, and the squids and “mounts” can all float in non-liquid atmospheres - no special rules for this, other than allowing them to operate on land, at no penalty. Keeping on point, there would also be dangerous cuttlefish, and assorted nautilidae. When out of water, troops wear advanced suits to keep them moist. Weapons would be based around concussive force “air blasters”, from hand guns through to cannons. Well, it’s a start… Cheers,

Maybe have cannon fodder troops, that are just humans that have been taken over by smaller octopi (or maybe starfish, if you want to copy Starro from DC Comics). Slaved to their will, and forced to rush into combat. I think it would be pretty easy to kitbash. Take any old humanoid mini, bare-handed or with simple melee weapons (or ranged, depending on your preference). Globs of Green Stuff stuck to their heads, in the shape of either starfish (least intrusive, just plant them on their faces) or octopi (big blob with eyes and tentacles engulfing the whole head, or maybe clinging to their shoulders while the person has a vacant, glassy-eyed stare of "is being mind controlled").

Something different! Looks like you had a lot of fun making this. You should get in touch with the folks on the LittleWarsTV KZread channel. They pretty much only cover historical miniature rules, but only because they feel that other genres are already well represented in the overall tabletop wargaming community. They do make periodic trips to the UK, so next time they're across The Pond, you could have an opportunity for a co-lab video. Or... Planes do fly both ways across the Atlantic, so maybe think about a trip to one one of the large historical wargaming conventions in the States.

Despite myself not necessarily enjoying the whole historical backgrounds on which some stuff is based (greetings from Germany, not too proud of past history), I sorta enjoy your sci-fi approach on it by making it a more surreal army and one that is not an "Astra Militarum 2.0/Deathkorps 2.0"-copy, but rather leans into more crazy aspects. Seeing also the updated rules on the actual page makes it also more fun to see, given that it's a more obscure backstory there. I kinda wonder though, given that I'm not familiar with One Page Rules and more with Warhammer 40k: Is there a limit to army forces for any created army? Or is it open end, so that an army list can feature a majority of units that lean into a more thematic playstyle. I actually kinda think it would be fun if there's more branches out there similiar to 40k. As an example: Aside from Tyranids I also want to build up an army of Adeptus Custodes, that focuses however more on the Sisters of Silence, relying heavily on the Imperial Knight rules and vehicles in order to get it working properly. Yet despite it's possibilities and 10th Edition rules allowing for more different playstyles with upcoming detachments, I still feel like there should be more choices within individual armies. So maybe when your army list gets expanded it might be fun to think of other variants of weird walker tanks, other mutations and maybe crazy sci-fi army stuff. I think Command and Conquer: Red Alert might be a good creative corner for these kinds of things, so I dunno - maybe the VOGEL group also has some crazy air ships, that can deploy randomly on the map and pretty much do a carpet bombing attack like the Kirovs from Red Alert, but the twist is, that these Zeppelins have to do a roll at the end of their turn that determines, whether they remain where they are due to their Bifrost Generator malfunctioning, whether they can teleport back to safety (because despite video game logic, we all know how vulnerable Zeppelins really can be despite their massive size, especially the old technology ones) into re-deployment for next turn or just explode at the end of it, because the generator goes into overdrive and self-destructs the model. Sure, this one's only a suggestion, but I think it might fit the theme of the army. And I kinda like it, when things like these branch out, where you can decide whether you want to play mainly wolf dudes and vikings or a horde of spider tanks with soldiers and artillery or if you go straight for the whole Bifrost teleportation mechanic, fully embracing the mad scientist factor of this army. ^^

I will tease you that you left the melee attacks' names as "Default" rather than either "CCWs" (the typical name in GF) or "Hand Weapons" (the typical name in AoF). ;P But, hey, it gets the job done!

Cool. Opr is basically becoming what warsurge already is. Opr is a very solid ruleset, so this is good. However, warsurge allows you to use your custom made army against any other kind of army from any kind of setting. It's honestly worthy a shot imho. The only downside on warsurge is that you have to build your army: nonetheless you can also import "ready made" armies in your app, buy the armies companion and or share your armies with your friends 😊😊
