That's true however I did end up getting the expensive version after this video and that one stopped working in less than 90 days. 🤷‍♂️

I bought one of these too. It work for about 2 weeks and now It opens but don't want to close. Or opens half way. Doesn't have a timer like the original. Doesn't look like the Run Chicken brand when you get it. False advertising.

Yeah, I'm thinking the same thing. I can order just the top part with the sensor, batteries & timer. I will save some money. I can use it with the door part i already have.

And it opens too late in the morning and closes too early in the afternoon

Why didn’t you set it up and try it out? Seriously for a few days, mine works amazing even through the rain so far, gone 8 month it’s this $28 door still kickin

I actually tried to set it up. The light sensor doesn't seem to work at all and the manual button only works intermittently. They also lied in the description and said it had features it doesn't. There is lots of coyotes around here and that plastic door doesn't stand a chance.

It’s working fine for me. No problem at all. But not so safe for countries that’s got smart raccoon or similar animal predator. I just need to close the door to save my chickens from snake and giant rats . In which it’s fine .

The higher quality one this appears to be a knock off of doesn't respond to change in light level until several minutes have passed, to avoid responding to transient causes like flashlight beams, a sudden cloud, or someone simply standing in front of it. Might be why you couldn't get it to do anything when you covered it with your finger. ... or it could just be trash

I tried a few times off camera and it never worked. Definitely trash.

I just received my cheap one from China.....I didn't even get the double stick tape, I see you got it. I don't even know if it is worth trying to put it in the coop.

They work fine with minor adjustment by taking a piece of banding material and bending slightly and drill two holes for mounting to put a little pressure on the gear so far 30.00 money well spent

The one I got would open and close by pushing the button but the sensor never worked at all. The plastic material was a no go for me because I've got lots of coyotes and other things in my area.

I have just found this video, because I bought it too. It is already installed, however it doesn't work properly. There is not the same length top and down. I don't understand where is the mistake

You could buy the Run Chicken door for $180 then buy another one in seven months because that’s when mine stopped working. It was great while it lasted.

I got a Run Chicken door right after making this video and it just stopped working a couple days ago. Didn't even make in 90 days. I should make a video about that just to be fair.

I got mine ordered on Dec 3 took till February 4th to get it . The wheel that opens the door on both sides where the wheel sits on the plastic was broke . Biggest piece of junk is ever seen......

@@ryanrandomness yeah it was not worth jumping through their hoops and money to return. I drilled new holes and fixed it . Not sure what it will be good for as the plastic is so thin .....lol I wrote them a not so nice e-mail....

I see you’ve had issues with the chicken run model as well so what are you using I’ve fallen for the plastic turd 💩
