Does anyone else want them to make matching armor for Hansi? I would love to see Martina teaching him how to make his own style and then having those dramatic shots where they are fighting back-to-back. I think it would be cool to see him doing something we usually watch Martina do. I just really like when they are both in the videos cause they are the cutest couple ever!

Reminds me of how back in the eighties, Rusty Dawe (very well-known American costumer -- he and his wife Diane, plus their friends the Turners, won a lot of costuming awards at SF conventions, and later CostumeCons, back in the day) made Stormbringer, Elric's sword from Michael Moorcock's books. Similar, in that it only worked when he held it, but different. No LEDs, so IIRC he used fiber optics. No teensy power supplies, so he had the battery on him, camouflaged as part of his Elric costume. He ran wires down his arm to his gauntlet, which had metal contacts in the palm (disguised as studs in the leather or something, with the same design in the other gauntlet), and the sword's hilt was also metal. When he held the sword, that connected the sword to the battery, and when he waved it, the light effect rippled up and down the blade. But if he let someone else hold it, they couldn't make it work. Magic sword -- only works for Elric. :) Your daggers are massively awesome, and go really well with the costume!
Hansi aggressively scrubbing/cleaning a clock is the content I'm here for! And cool daggers too! A double win!!!

Hey nerdforge, it looks amazing! Just one thing though, with the magnet sensor lighting function, maybe instead of making the light turn on instantly, you could make the light fade in and out when you hold/drop, it would give it a bit more magical sort of vibe, but either way it's amazing!!!

A small effects board might fit in the hilt. Don't know many but the smallest I know of are for 3rd party Lego lighting. Flickering and pulse for engInes, fire, water etc. Pulse might work for picking up the dagger but dropping could cut power at brightest part.

Adding a small electrolytic capacitor after the switch (and before current limiting resistor) would probably do just that. You could substitute those batteries with 14500 rechargeable battery to get more voltage and space.
add one small controller for a breathing effect or gradual increase of brightness when you pick it up would have been awesome.
Hansi’s epic cleaning montage… 🤣 but seriously though, the amount of detail you guys put into this is awe-inspiring! Love your channel, your projects are so unique and beautiful 🤩
Its a God send to see talented people doing their thing. I've never taken the time before to say thank you. Here it is, Thank you. You've helped me make life more fun with my kids.
I got chills watching the final product shots when they light up upon touch. Incredible! I’m in aw of your talents 🙌🏼
I loved watching both of you working on different parts of the project. More collaboration like this please!
I simply love the "we don't know how to do this but w'll figure it out" way you two artisans work
The only thing that I think would have made them even better is if the light slowly faded on and off when you grab them and let go, instead of just turning on and off. Like they were powering up and down.
The amount of work and patience that went into these awesome daggers is amazing in of itself.
Being crafty instead of a software developer. I felt that in my soul.
That ending montage. If I saw that warrior coming at me with her glowing blades, I’d surrender the field and let her have whatever it was she came for.

They turned out amazing. I love how both of you are always trying new processes and are not afraid of showing them even if you are not sure how it will turn out.
Man, incredible daggers! One thing that I thought of was maybe adding a capacitor in the circuit, so that the light would come on and off gradually, instead of straight on-off? Shouldn't be too difficult to add afterwards!
