I printed out the lyrics to loser baby and put them on the board at my aa meeting house

His face the whole time was like a kindergartener showing their parents a drawing they made lol

It has been almost a month since episodes 1-4 came out, and “Loser, Baby” and “Respectless” still get stuck in my head constantly back and forth.

Viv is a huge Disney nerd. So you'll see tons of Disney references throughout. Happy Day in Hell is the opening number from Beauty and the Beast basically. Several big Disney voices are in the cast even. Hell's Best Dad has a shot that is a clear homage to Aladdin's Friend Like Me.

Christian Borle's Boradway roles that I'm most familiar with are Marvin from Falsettos (2016 revival), Shakespeare from Something Rotten, and Emmet from Legally Blonde. I learned about him before Hazbin came out on Prime and was super excited to see he'd be voicing a character!

You actually have it backwards with what Diagetic and Non-Diagetic means. Helluva Boss and Hazbin Hotel are diagetic, the characters can hear the music and can recognize that people are singing. Non-Diagetic means that the music is background music or scores, music that the characters can't hear but the audience can. Like the March of the Clones theme from Star Wars or the Test Flight score from How to Train Your Dragon. So both of these are "diagetic musicals" as you would refer to them. Helluva Boss is a more modern styled musical while Hazbin pulls from the golden age of musicals a lot more.

The Carmila fight was arguably a dance. She's a ballerina, she sorta dance fights.

All the animation stuff is fully visible to the characters in the show since it's all being produced by people's powers, except for some colour shifting stuff and I think the signs in Loser, Baby.

You mentioned the "Jack Black thing." So Alex Brightman , who voices Adam is a Broadway actor. One of his big roles was as Dewey in School of Rock the Musical (the Jack Black role). He was also the original Beetlejuice on Broadway.

You say lucifer's a short king, but he's apparently canonically six feet tall. he just appears small because the main cast are on the very tall side. alistor is like 7 feet tall

Christian Borle recently played Orin/others in Little Shop. The part of the show where he plays all the talk show/radio/magazine people trying to get their hooks in Seymour feels just like Vox's part in Stayed Gone. His casting could not have been more perfect.

My top five songs for the series are: 1- (first in ep 7); 2- Stayed Gone; 3- Poison/Loser, Baby; 4- Respectless. They’re all such bops though. I can understand why you didn’t go into Poison for this. Even if you had done just the lyric video rather than the full visuals, it’s such a punch.

Great reaction. I love all of the songs! I know I enjoy "Whatever it Takes" a bit more than some people do. LOL^^ It's okay to have opinions, especially when they don't hurt anyone. I like how he calls Lucifer a tiny guy even tho Lucifer is apparently 6 feet tall. So technically Lucifer isn’t short. Demons are just massive. I thought Lucifer was a shorty first too until someone corrected me and told me what Charlie’s height is since apparently her’s is confirmed. And well it’s not hard to figure out what everyone else’s heights are based on hers. And Lucifer would be 6ft based on hers. Edit: Charlie’s height is confirmed to be 6 and a half ft. Vivzi said so in a livestream with the VA’s. Which makes Lucifer around 6ft tall based on his and Charlie’s height difference.

Lucifer is most definitely not 6 feet tall, Charlie has been confirmed to be about 6'2 on a recent live with Vivzie and Charlie's VA, so Lucifer being 6 feet is very much off the table as he is way shorter than Charlie. Edit: Misheard Viv, Charlie's height is actually 6'6ft, but my point still stands

The lyricists and storyboard/artists teams completely nailed it. And the last verse, there's so much emotion from the performer. Best song in the series. This is a hill I will fight on.

Loser Baby is the only song is Hazbin I *almost* wish was less vulgar just so the non-hazbin Watchers were emotionally capable of getting the point faster ^^U I ultimately don't care I've realized, but it felt annoying for awhile

Just something I find really jarring, how quiet it is when not talking and then hearing the background noise when talking. Either edit the noise out or just have it all in. It feels so disorientating switching in and out of it.

Change the title of the video to: "I explain a bunch of stuff about Hazbin Hotel to my wife while she barely pays attention to some songs I put on in the background." I can't pay attention to a song you want me to hear while you stay at my side giving answers to questions I did not ask.

I hate Alastor. So no Alastor is not Everybody's Favorite
