From pranking Mama Maples with clothes that had no lining or seams to LITERALLY MAKING ONE OF YOUR WEDDING DRESSES?!?! Mia!! The lining. The trim. The boning. The sleeves. The layers. The lace-up back. I am HERE FOR THIS journey/content! But… literally, how can you top your actual wedding dance dress? Where does one go from here?! Except… to prank Mama Maples again?? ;) seriously, WOW!

Mia, I am your grandmother’s age. You are soooo funny. I was quirky and creative and wonderful like you when I was young but didn’t even know it and even more, was shamed for my creativity and independence. You literally are helping me love myself more and re-igniting a flame within. Crazy to say all that at my age but it’s true. Stay free. Stay true. Stay wonderful. You fill my heart with joy.

As a professional seamstress I am soooo happy to see Mia pressing her garments! This will take all of her makes to the next level. 👌 Beautiful dress! I feel so proud of her😅 also as a tip, if you get blood on your dress while sewing (it happens alot) your own spit removes your own blood. Just add a little to a q-tip and wipe it right off!

About the paper pattern, we’ve bought a few online and what we do is cut them out and then draw them on parchment paper and cut those out and use them instead since they’re not as fragile. Parchment paper can be folded and put away with out ripping easier I believe so that could be an idea…

Went to the attic and pulled out my favorite treasures from the 80's early 90's. Redecorated my mountain cottage with it all. The wonderful florals, especially roses and cute antiques! So happy to be surrounded by all my favorite decor 💓! I'm a grandma so perfect for me.

You can remove bloodstains with saliva. The enzymes in the salive will break down the proteins in the blood. BUT the blood and salive have to be from the same person and the stain has to be fresh. Spit on a soft cloth and then rub carefully on the stain. If the stain is smal enough you can lick on a tread and then pull the tread through the stain with a sewing needle a few times. I’m a tailor and this trick has saved a few wedding dresses

The reveal shows that while sometimes skills cannot be rushed, but when acquired the result can be as rewarding in that you know this is literally YOUR dress. Thank you to Mia for sharing all this planning and creating.

I love what you did with every element of the dress. The boning, corset, ❤❤ the open in back between corset and skirt plus way the coset brings back down making the dress very chic in style, the lace trim in the front around neck and cap sleeves pushes it towards the finished look, then oh my goodness the skirt details with the sewn on roses 🌹 (I'm glad you spaced them further apart) , finally the overlay of the see through material with the underlying perfect pink tutu going a little beyond the hem length giving the dress the shape it needs to make the dress perfection. You'll be gorgeous in your 2nd dress on your wedding day. You will also be more comfortable to enjoy your reception.

It was so awesome to watch you put this dress together, Mia--especially as someone who, like you, has some sewing experience but definitely still makes a lot of mistakes and takes way longer than she thinks the project is going to take! Good for you for making the dress you envisioned! You did amazing ^_^
