Why does it have a better config than most vocaloids

the way id buy this over actual vocaloids is crazy

its crazy this sounds not only better but more unique than most vocaloids. as you said, it has its errors, but it sounds more distinct and recognizable, whereas most vocals tend to sound like a mix of others from engine noise when you’re not well-versed with them (especially when most vocals are cutesy girl-sounding). it sounds both powerful and soft - too bad this isn’t an actual voicebank, as it sounds fantastic and is unique from the few other masc vocals. great job!

Doubtful Yamaha will let this stay up if they even care to begin with. But they do be sounding like Fukase

Why does this sound better than most male vocaloids I've heard before?

This is mostly a joke; I know everything I'm about to say is ridiculous. But... how the fuck are literal *teenagers* better vocal synth users than most of us old-ass "veterans" were back in the day and currently are in the present? It feels so weird be a whole-ass 30-year-old taxpaying adult admiring and being competitively inspired by a fifteen-year-old's "craft" knowledge and technical skill... but that's what watching vocal synth videos on YT has become. I get jumpscared by creators' ages weekly and always wind up having a miniature crisis of confidence over it. If Yamaha (and the other vocal synth companies) weren't dumb, they'd be actively searching for and hiring ShortKing and others like them instead of hiring "experienced industry professionals" that don't even use their own programs/voicebanks or know how they work. These creators are literally "the future" and they're getting slept on.

I got a doubt! How i segment the files… like I already configured all the samples and trans files but when i click on the “Segment Articulation” i got a pop-up: “Not all of the selected items were segmented.” Like… I don’t see anything of this in the guide of how to create a voicebank😞😞

Meh you should be okay. The amount of people that put vocaloid into utau or ai And even put other synths into vocaloids is actually insane There's no rules against that in itself It's the distribution. So go crazy, just don't make tutorials or start releasing these because that is the thing that gets you sued.

sounds very good! do you know how it might compare to an UTAU voicebank in terms of quality? (engine noise etc.) i'm intrigued by the possibility of making a higher quality vb for personal use...

It really depend of your mic, recording environment, and the voicebank configuration! You can hear that the bank I made is pretty clear but some consonants play twice due to my... less than experienced configuration skills. If you do it all right you can get it sounding really good!
