Reese did you by any chance give Gertie a tiny piece of a dry bone on the trip? I know that when I have sometimes given my dogs a small piece of small dry bones, a tiny piece can sometimes get stuck in their throat and they will keep hacking. I actually have to gently tap them on the back, just like you would do with a human who was choking. I am so glad you arrived in one piece. Ignore Jeff. It is so juvenile for an adult male to be part of an all boy's club at his age. Ridiculous. You will start to feel better as the weeks go on and I am so glad you have your earthbound guardian angel watching over you- Tommy

I’m glad you made it to TN safe. I lost my beautiful house to divorce. It makes me sad, but it’s not important. Friends and family are. Life is good. You will flourish, and great times await you and Huxley. You have Tommy, and you have your mom and sister close by now. TN is beautiful, and it’s where I will retire in a few years. Much love. ❤️

I lost my dream home to divorce as well! In Missouri, only one person has to want the divorce and it was literally over in a few months after 20 years of marriage! It was horrible.

Gerty is probably stressed since dogs don't really know what's happening in times like this. Long drive, new home, etc Will sometimes make them nauseous bc they are thrown off their normal schedule of eating etc. Our chihuahua would do exactly what Gerty is doing, but after a day or 2 of calmness, it all went away when eating and schedule went back to normal. Stress plays many rolls in all situations.... CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR NEW HOME AND FREEDOM! YOU DESERVE IT ALL!!!

Well, this is odd. I have a piece of jewelry that was my mother's that I want to send you, so went looking for your new address. Instead, there was a video of you and Jeff from January 21, 2024--hardly any time ago. He was looking sweet and loving. He said, "Yes, I do know how much you all love her. We could throw all your love together and it wouldn’t surpass mine." And *you* said, "I've never been passionate about anything, except maybe missing a Black Friday sale." I have been through that emotional move, driving over a thousand miles south from the mid west, after realizing the person you married wasn't the person you thought he was. I was very lucky to have my dad driving with me. I was also lucky I only had an apartment of stuff, and it all fit in my suv.

Uhaul always false advertises in my opinion. We’ve had to use them for our kids several times & the $19.99!! On the side of every uhaul is just false. It depends on where you’re going, what size you need & gas & who knows what else. We were always just happy to return it & get the hell outa there honestly. Lord help you if you need boxes or anything else. Don’t get me wrong. It’s great for people who need it but if you can borrow a few trucks do that! If you think you have a price in mind, triple it.

To be locked inside a prison within yourself, knowing the person that is locked away is beautiful, inspiring and a force to be reckoned with. Trauma needs facing as and when it occurs. Speaking openly about it to others, positive and inquisitive attitude towards a solution and the correct step forward. I went through a similar situation and things definitely look better on the other side. It's pretty darn sweet! You are strong and kind, and deep down you KNOW what to do, always. Get that kiddo into counseling whether you think he needs it or not. Things have a way of surfacing later with kids and with NO FAULT OF YOUR OWN. (I hate your neighbors!)
