Whatever the modifications made for power supply is good, but those fog lamps fitting legs won't last long. They will break easily and u have closed the air ventilation to fan for led lights

When fog lights in cars can stay intact for years why not on bike? Ventilation has not been closed but merely covered with a cowl to prevent water and dust ingress, ventilation slots are present at the sides as there is a space between housing and cover. Keep in mind that this mod is already 2 years old! I edit videos late.

Exactly what I wanted and thought, but I have Duke gen 3 so no space to mount these , instead I bought 3inch projector meant for cars , NFS 950 pro 160w . And installed that 😁

Thanks for sharing !! I bought osram 50w led bulb and working fine. the black color led driver is getting very hot during operation. Could you please check your and let us know that is it normal or do i need to check my wiring.

It is normal, just place led driver in a place where it gets sufficient air flow.

These are the best for stock stator and rectifier: amzn.to/3J7rEIE But these are pretty costly at 3k for a pair. I have a set of Osram 25W LED bulbs with me which I replaced with 50W ones, they have been used just for a year and motorcycle has not been ridden much either during this period, so in case you want, you can purchase single bulb from me as well at cheaper price.

Hi bro first of all have to appreciate your efforts in creating this video. So far best video I've seen with all the details in it. I own Yamaha Fz s V3 and want to use good led lights on my bike for good wider and long throw as I do Highway rides regularly. I am not interested in using expensive, readily available products in the market. Seems this can work for me. What would the approximate durability of this setup be? Is it economically reliable or does it make sense if we make this rather than the products available in the market? What's the approximate cost for this setup, for led and wirings etc and for customised legguard respectively?

These fog lamps are as durable as any car coming with inbuilt fog lamps. Fog light housing is durable and will easily last entire life of the vehicle unless physically broken. Fog lamps housing costs 3-4k with harness and LED bulbs cost 3-6k depending on wattage and color temperature. Making clamps and welding them as per bike's model is the time consuming and harder is to rewind stator coil and upgrade rectifier regulator. It is not economically viable on a larger scale because most motorcycle riders wouldn't like to spend 15-20k just for brighter lights.

Kya mad dog wireing harness bhi use kar sakte hai for 40watt led bulbs in this

Instead of those maruti fog lamp enclosure, u would have fitted other iph projector with osram led bulbs

I feel that fog lamps work better in reflector setup rather than projector, which is better for high beam lamps.

Any modification is illegal which includes using any seat covers, leg guards, different headlight bulbs, different tyre size or using any after market accessories like plastic carry boxes (like these: amzn.to/4fcciAd) unless you have RTO approval which can be obtained the way you get your driving license. Even if you carry a small luggage tied on the back of your motorcycle seat, it is illegal because motorcycles and scooters are meant to carry two people at most, not carry luggage. But you'll see countless pizza delivery boys with modified two wheelers which have boxes bolted at the rear seat, which may or may not be legal depending om whether the fast food chain has got RTO approval for their vehicles or not. Most large fast food outlet have them, smaller ones don't. Recently bike taxi was also in news for similar legal issues. Basically as per law, you can't even change a bulb in your vehicle, whatever has been installed by your manufacturer is legal and whatever servicing is to be done, will be done by service center. Roadside repairing shops aren't legal either and they can't really provide you repairing services legally because they don't have sufficient space and facilities to dispose hazardous petroleum waste either. Now talking practically, yellowish fog lamps are allowed in most states if they are installed at the bottom of the leg guards and their wattage is less than the head lamp. But instructions from local state officials also affect this. There was a time when factory installed white LEDs were challaned by police but nowadays white headlamps do not pose such issues in most states.
