Totally agree that Jalen Hurts will be hot at the national. I’m taking time to invest in Hurts right now because I think his cards don’t sell for the price they should. Keep up the videos! I always enjoy watching them!

we don't have as many shows in Europe to think about buying cards that will trade well, but since the release of Panini score league 1 in France, at a very small level, I understand better. Sometimes it's better to have an average card from a big club or player to trade than a $50 bill.

I havent graded my MJ 1/5 auto card, but once i do i might head over there to get an offer if nobody offers me elsewhere beforehand. The other 4 cards has no PSA 10, there is 1 BGS 9.5 though, and someone had it up on ebay in 2022 and got an offer for 80,000 but he didnt accept it. Hard to figure out the value for mine, but if i can get anywhere near that i can open a business, ive been wanting to open up a coffeehouse/teahouse kinda thing.

Flipping modern to be able to buy vintage is the way to go. You cant flip vintage so that's a great way to pick up very cheap vintage that's always a good investment

Not at all, this peon loves making this shii sound more intense & dramatic than it is. Buddy ahh got in the hobby during the pandemic, intense deals are something he not familiar with, he never was at them shows in the early 2000’s when people would be threatening to go outside over this shii

100% true , however the hobby has shifted to chasing and gambling for the big swings and hits. Society is no longer built to last , invest for the long term or patient. Life for the united states is right now , right now , right now . I think Geoff already has millions worth of vintage special cards , thus he's going for riskier plays with this trade. This may be true if your only concerned with investing. But if you actually see the cards as more than just money then you should collect what you want and if you don't know much about the stars of yesteryear and have no attachment to them then vintage isn't for you. Don't collect vintage if you have no interest in it just because somebody says you should.

I was a heavy collector as a kid. I am out of the loop now. I honestly do not see the point of moving into an illiquid asset. To each their own. Give me BTC and ETH any day over illiquid trading cards.

Why not buy a 1987 O-Pee-Chee Barry Bonds PSA 10 instead of dealing these dogs? LOL The Bonds will be 150k - 200k and you're dealing with Jamal Murray and Austin Reeves LOLLLLLL

🤦🏻 Terrible in my opinion. If you have high-end ultra modern you are having trouble moving, trade it for high-quality VINTAGE! The solution is NOT to speculate and trade it for MORE high-end ultra modern. I have no problem with owning ultra modern stuff. But, if you see you have a problem liquidating particular cards, trade them for something that liquidates much more easily and has more stable, yet conservative growth (aka vintage). All he did here was trade his problem for exactly the same problem.

Trading down into more liquid and sought after cards is the play, also expanding to the number of people that can afford that stuff vs the narrow number of people who like the 5k+ dollar cards. Some risk in some of the players for sure but that’s the game.

Russell Wilson is a buy, but I would stay away from Trout.
