I Made A Track For Mini-Z RC Cars

Ойын-сауық

Showing you the track I made at home to race my Mini-Z's. Way more cost effective than an RCP Track and works almost as good.

    This is extremely clever. I had a ton of those exact same interlocking floor mats, PVC is plenty cheap, and those circle velcro straps are like $11 for 100. I've been looking around like crazy for a good modular solution for a Mini-B / Mini-Z (fingers crossed for Christmas lol) track and you absolutely nailed it.

    This is great. I work in a large science museum, maker studio and I want to start an RC program. I’m going to follow your lead here and build a track like this. Question, when the tiles are pieced together, do the pvc pipes also snap together (with couplers) or are they just lined up side by side (no coupling)? Definitely the budget option here. Thanks.

    Nice... i made my own track also from foam tile like that... but i cut the foam instead of using pipe, so it will protect your car... and you know what, the pattern track is similar like yours... yes the joint is not flat, you can use tape on the joint to make it little bit smoother...

  • @jarvzRC

    @jarvzRC

    3 жыл бұрын

    Thanks! The rear T-Plate plays an important role in the Mini'z's handling. Without the correct T-Plate, your rear won't have good traction and your car will be difficult to drive. The T-Plate has two functions: - It is meant to absorb bumps - It is meant to transfer weight forward, backward and side to side I haven't done enough testing yet on my cars yet to find out which T-Plate works best for me. The stock plastic T-Plate is fine if you're just starting out.

    It looks like you have got the same EVA-foam tiles as i bought frequent. Mine are 40cm square and i read about it that’s only available in 40cm2 and 60cm2 type of tiles. They’re 1cm thick so an underfloor will improve the flatness of the whole track with better equals of the seems. Mini-Z has a plastic t-bar for each new bought cars and rtr sets. Please keep in mind the 4 differences of motor mounting is separated in two types of t-bars. The HM and RM (high mount short chassis 86-90mm wheelbase and rear mount old standards for mini-z 94mm chassis wheelbase. They’ve got the same t-bar wich is ever so slightly longer than the MM and LM chassis wheelbases at 98mm and for Low Mount-LeMans 102mm wheelbase chassis) HM/RM at rcp track needs a carbon t-bar stage 6 upgrade, only my experience with this less grip providing EVA-foam track you’ll have to test your own setups with different types of upgraded carbon t-plates/t-bar (same, in the Netherlands we call it a t-bar, other languages use the t-plate term. You can buy the upgrade from different manufacturers and the ones that Kyosho, Atomic and PN Racing makes are almost similar in costs. The third-party manufactures with Atomic and PN are much easier to get and go as thin as stage 2 (buy whatever you prefer of course, the set of 3x t-plate upgrades from kyosho are stage 5/6&7 in one blister package) for the most part grip comes with different sizes of rims & tyres plus t-plates. And type of chassis with motor positioning, bodykit, damping and many more possibilities. T-plate PN stage 4 works fine for me. T-plate 5 from 3-Racing also works fine. Atomic fiberglas t-plate 3 is really good for me. Keep in mind that this is incredible personally and that you can experience different results from the same material. Greets and good luck. Keep fun is the key
