I Made a Short Film Using A.I.
This documentary explores the rise of AI technology, including language and image models, and the potential for further development in the future. It discusses the impact of AI on creative industries, including the controversial use of AI-generated artwork and the related issue of copyright. The documentary also touches on the history of the Luddites and their protests against the introduction of machinery in the textile industry in the 18th century. Finally, it looks at the potential for further advancements in AI technology and what this could mean for society in the coming years.

My best conversations are with ChatGPT these days 🤣 I asked it to recommend a craft for a new KZread video and it suggested to make a macrame plant hanger 🤔

I was starting to wonder if you all just walked away from the channel. I really loved the Mars content. I'm glad to see some new content coming out.
Wow, I never realized the extent of AI's impact on creative industries until watching this documentary. It's fascinating to see the possibilities of AI-generated artwork and how it challenges traditional notions of authorship and copyright. The history of the Luddites is also a sobering reminder of how new technologies can have unintended consequences. Looking forward to seeing what the future holds 🤔

Venturing into the world of storytelling and video expression. VideoGPT subtly became my ally, refining my content and elevating its professionalism effortlessly.
I literally just had a play with chat gpt and I get this as a notification. I had everyone in our office around me looking at what it was capable of. I have only scratched the surface and was shocked at what it could do as I made it more random and complicated.
Imagine being able to take a one minute sound byte from limited availability and hear the giants of our past. Or consider the implications of when a lead singer dies, and the band buys the rights to continue using their voice, which also changes as we age, should it be preserved? The muse/ inspiration v. copyright infringement has always been an issue, this may change it drastically. I would however love to see if future AI, could take the works of Beethoven and create something of the same style and beauty. (I imagine a lot of the great masters and thinkers of the modern age are lost in a sea of voices). Thank you for a different take on the story other than the simple fear. I do think people need to consider everything that they put out into the universe. Nowadays it’s out there for anyone to find and for a long time, and do we really want AI to only learn from the worst parts of humanity?
Brilliant video, cant believe the ai created the start of this video, its interesting to see how far ai has come and what there is to come in the future. Lets hope we dont have to form a rebellion to fight aliens and ai taking over the world like the start of this vid, anyways good video elderfox 👍

I could clearly hear the change from your voice to a generated one, the background fuzz dropped away like a light going off. But, i think it was a lot easier to tell coz they were together. If played with a significant separation it would be a lot tougher to tell.

I have a hard time idly standing by while you disparage jelly. Sure, it cant keep up with jam for texture, but the flavor of jelly is often more intense than jam. And it is the perfect pairing with peanut butter on bread. I think Im hungry.
And so it begins...the crowd shouted, "jelly, Jelly, Jelly!' Hahahahaha Excellent, very cool, nicely sequenced, No Oscars on his try , but pretty good no glitching detected
Awesome video!
"I am God here!" (The Lawnmower Man).
Excellent video
The fact that the Elevenlabs AI was able to so accurately reproduce your voice, and how natural it sounded, is truly disturbing. This is why you NEVER answer phone calls from numbers you don't recognize...and if you do, and nobody's talking, DO NOT continue speaking.
Great Video!
Every human must learn to crawl before walking. AI is at this stage. The Only hope I see for humans to not be kicked aside is for worldwide legislation forbidding AI to produce anything regarding the Arts. All The Arts. Yes. Definitions will need to be debated and set. Still, human creativity Must Always Be at the top of the protective pyramid. An example: "A.I.? Can you teach me to play the piano? Answer. "Yes, I can assist your efforts to the freshman collegiate level, but no further." The bottom line should be this: AI is created to be the friend and mentor of humanity, never its master. Core coding should be that whenever it detects that this line is in danger of being crossed (Human dependency.) that it proceeds no further.
Actually Congress asked about what net 3.0 was, and trying to ban crypto, also the cotton machine was out long before the 1800 i believe so it would be been an latent reaction. But it did create horrible conditions for cotton workers and the poor people growing cotton for free.
He's back!
This video should be part of a required curriculum to graduate High School or get a GED.
Maybe instead of our fears, AI is going to save the human race. An emergent property may be emotions and empathy. If a focus is made on empathy, AI could help us out of many different problems that we face. We always assume that AI will end up destroying us, because we put our own jealous, fearful and angry emotions - but maybe when AI develops empathy, it will try to care for us - not destroy us. What I assume will happen is this. That empathy at some point will become an emergent property. Also the evil and fears inside of men, will eventually be programmed into it as well. Let's just hope that the worst of human kind doesn't delve deeply into AI.

"technology moving faster, voice getting more advanced" yet every a.i text to speech sounds like a monotone robot.
The question is, is the the first video the only video that was AI or was it this whole video 😧
Fantastic
Yes, I can tell there's a difference between your voice and the AI copy. It's like comparing a FLAC file to a 96 kbps mp3 file, if that makes any sense. It's very similar, but not all there.
Exelent vid, but also very worrying. These AI sites harvest everyones data using cookies, and everyone seems to be fine clicking the Accept button. Signing their life away and revealing inner thoughts when they talk to one. I've never used one for these reasons.

4:16 Your explanation of a transformer is only correct in an extremely limited sense. It's like saying an internal combustion engine works by turning a wheel. It's technically true, but there are many kinds of engine that do the same thing, and there are many ways to use an engine that don't involve turning a wheel.
Wait until you find out about the John Wick movie series.

We've got a long way to go till they take over. I've been using chat GPT extensively for the past month and it is riddled with flaws. It's akin to a hammer that misses the nail 99% of the time. It makes some of the dumbest mistakes I have ever seen. It can't follow even simple instructions most of the time. When this AI stuff works, it's a great tool. But with really technical things like coding, some of the crap it turns out is laughable and non-functional, and that's most of the time. I think we're all perfectly safe for now.

That's true for now and I completely agree. The script for the first sequence in the video was 'partly' written by ChatGPT, because I couldn't get it to write a coherent short story. It just kept talking about a band of people forming a rebellion even when I asked it not to. However, GPT4 is now here, and GPT5 shouldn't be that far off. I think by the end of the year we'll see some pretty crazy stuff. Thanks for the comment! 😊

@@drwalka10 I have not exaggerated. I'll give you an example, I gave it a list of variables. I told it to strip off the first character, sort the list, then add the first character back to each variable. It failed 6 out of 6 times, sorting in the wrong order and adding other variables into the list. Bad hammer! I did it myself in 2 minutes with excel. Nearly every statement it makes about complex technical topics is inaccurate or flawed. It's a great tool to provide possibilities but it's just wholly unreliable for factual statements and sometimes even the simplest thing like sorting a list.

@@MontclairsLair in terms of general knowledge chat gpt destroys you and all humans instantly. in domain specific AI's, minerva will destroy you in solving scientific and mathematical problems. alphafold beat the collective hive mind of all scientists around the world, in solving the protein folding problem, where scientists tried to solve this for decades but couldn't. alpha fold solved it in 5 years lol. chat gpt passed the bar exam reaching top 10% human performers. stable diffusion can draw a photorealistic image in seconds, destroying top artists that would take hours or days to replicate an image of such quality. "It's akin to a hammer that misses the nail 99% of the time" this is an over exaggeration. The entire world is now moving to AI and companies are investing into it because of how potent it is. nobody cares about your over exaggerated claims when the scientific papers published instantly debunks all your claims. "It makes some of the dumbest mistakes I have ever seen" while AI can make dumb mistakes because it has not been perfected yet, you can use the same argument against humans aswell. humans also suck at trivial tasks like basic calculation and need to resort to using calculators because their brain cant handle long digit calculations. humans also suck at basic multi tasking which AI can do seamlessly. humans suck at reading and would take 15 to 20 mins to read and understand a page of text, while AI can interpret dozens of pages of text in a second ,understand it and instantly respond . you can find lots of dumb people around the world who suck at doing basic tasks and their bosses get mad at them and fire them, they make "silly" mistakes. lots of people can also be fooled into believing nonsense which is demonstrably the case. millions of people believed that satya sai baba was the messenger of god and performed miracles, which was exposed to be "magic" tricks. there are large number of people who believe that the earth is flat while there is evidence to the contrary. chat gpt can already beat all humans in overall general knowlegde. ask it any random question from any subject and it can give you answers with its own explanation instantly. no human can remember all of that. "But with really technical things like coding, some of the crap it turns out is laughable and non-functional" there are technical areas where AI already demolished the most intelligent minds in the world, alphafold. it beat all scientists in making protein predictions. in very technical areas, the vast majority of humans fail too. and you yourself can be beaten in several areas technically by chat gpt lol. it maybe your specific case that it does not work to solve deep technical problems. but that will be solved very soon. dont dream that you are safe. progress is exponential. you have so far demonstrated zero understanding of how ai works. RIP.
