New to this so sorry if this is obvious. What material is the building faces/ windows cut from? And what type of glue do you find works best? Thanks!

No problem! I mostly use thin, but firm cardboard for the windows and storefronts. However, if i want to make some round windows (like the green ones from Honeyduke‘s on the front left), i use a thinner cardboard, almost like a thick paper, which is easy to bend. For glue, i almost always use common wood glue. It‘s super strong and the consistency makes it easy to work with because it doesn’t drip or pull strings. Occasionally, i also use superglue if something needs to be glued down fast. Feel free to ask any further questions if you have them! :)

Amazing! How do you and other book nook creators do these? I get stuck with size and measurements. What size for the base walls and floor in either cm or Inches please? Do you just use images from movie or images from Google or books? I would really appreciate the help please

I have yet to make a book nook, but know a thing or two about art an construction. With the size, measure the length from the wall to the end of the shelves you might be working with. This is the most important part, as you want it to fit neatly and look natural in the space. Next, measure the height of the space between shelves/ upper and lower (this is somewhat going to be personal preference as shelves differ in height space, but a good place to start might be to go with/ about the same height as the books that may be on the outer ends of the nook). Next is width, which also is based on personal preference, but these look to be maybe 3 to 4 inches wide (Give or take). I would not make my final cuts of the box until I have first made the contents that go inside of it and measure twice, cut once.

Kannst Du vielleicht sagen, welche Pappe Du verwendest. Es sieht so aus, als wäre sie sehr gut und faserfei zu schneiden. Danke für den tollen Kanal und beste Grüße von der Ostsee. Ralf
