Just finished it and wow that series is amazing. It was well shot, incredibly acted, and had a great premise. And this behind the scenes was really well made too. Your work here is incredible. And the fact you only had a crew of 1 person 90% of the time is incredible as well. Great job. Keep it up

So good! Love your stuff bro! I have an M50 as well so it's super encouraging seeing others make high quality films using the same camera. Love your breakdown too!

I shoot a lot by myself, and I'm really wanting to branch out and create more daring projects. This was extremely inspiring. Hoping to shoot my next short by myself sometime this year! And also, keep up the great work!

THIS WAS AWESOME. Thanks for the BTS. Invaluable. I, myself HATE being in front of the camera so I use my kids a lot for filmming. I have some horrible earlier stuff on my channel that I thought about deleting but I decided to keep it to show my filmmaking journey. I just subbed you btw.

I've come back to this video over the last 2 years to get different info. I love the break down! Do you find that cinestyle is better for color grading, over neutral? Also how do you find it works in low light? I know clog has a bad rep with this camera due to low light noise.
Interesting😍
Bro u did a great fucking job bro thank u for all of this and i like how the end u said go out there and tell shitty stories which is literally genius because i understand exactly what u mean. U the truth bro congrats on the series.

Have tried filming handheld with canon M50? I released there is lot of shake while doing so, how to overcome that without using a gimbal?
@BobWilcox
Жыл бұрын
Any small camera will have micro shakes, the best way to get rid of it is to add weight to the camera rig

@@BobWilcox by the wat i own a canon m50 mark 2 and i use the kit lens! but whenever there is low light my footage produces noise! video noise! so is that normal?
@BobWilcox
2 жыл бұрын
Yeah you gotta keep your ISO at 100 and even then it’s bad. If you watch shows up close you’ll notice they have noise/grain in some of their shots as well. It’s not necessarily a bad thing if not overdone
@DODITheVlogger

I have a question. I love the series btw, but I was wondering, how in the world do you get that zoom shots without actually moving the tripod closer to the subject? Is that done in post? Or is someone there to actually have a steady hand while zooming in on the lens itself and then to keep the focus on the subject at the same time? This is mind boggling to me.
@BobWilcox
3 жыл бұрын
Thanks bro! It was done in post, just keyframed it to zoom in.
@theofficialjsam
3 жыл бұрын
@@BobWilcox Thank you because I was wondering how I would get a zoom shot because physically on the camera itself, it doesn’t quite glide smooth for that smooth transition but it jerks a little as you turn the lens to zoom, so need to know how filmmakers do a zoom as smooth a butter! But I do love the series and I’d love to see more from you! Thank you so much for responding. I am on a journey to make a short film with 7 other actors soon as I get the equipment you recommended, and I’ll be shooting mine soon! Thank you for inspiring me do one after I’ve procrastinated for sooo long!
