Art Forger Max Brandrett has spent most of his life forging famous paintings. He shared stories about his childhood, explained how he got into forgery and what techniques he used to age paintings, as well how he now creates Banksy replicas.

I would watch a show based on Max in a heartbeat! The guy is a legend and has one of the craziest stories! I want a show on him so badly!
It annoys me how TV shows like The One Show have boring actors on all the time talking crap when they should have people like this guy on

Max story reminds of a book by Sidney Sheldon 'If Tomorrow Comes.' In the book you can't help but admire the thief. Max tells his story in such a fun way you want to go along for the ride.
I enjoyed every second of this interview.
His stories get more extravagant every time. lol

As important as it’s been that people who’ve been mistreated and abused are given their time, I love the last couple of videos. I’d have no chance of making it in either of their industries (🍆/🖌️) and so it’s particularly fascinating to learn about their lives, and have a few laughs along the way. Highly enjoyable. If Max had been born into a middle class family he probably would be a famous artist. Art is mainly about class dictated by the upper class world. Max is spot on - letting the art "experts" think they are superior etc played to people's prejudices. You see this at art galleries where curators/directors dictate what can and can't be exhibited - even at small time galleries, and snobs prevail. Like all good scammers, Max is simply appealing to people's prejudices.
Great guy could listen to him all day. An ex of mine done a “Banksy and put it on eBay it had a lot of bids and when it got to nearly two and a half grand he got a email from Pest Control telling him to take it off.

Random fun fact: Max was “nicked” as he liked to say..(“knicked”? How do british folks spell it?) more than any living (or formerly living) art forger in world history. Unlike masters like Hebborn or Tetro, he only went so far when it came to the use of original materials, most of the time he hid the works under glass and crossed his fingers (to this day, alot of pieces won’t even be taken out of the glass prior to sale, esp less-expensive pieces). Hebborn was never caught, Tetro did a few months in the can once as he forged a still-living artist who caught wind. TLDR: Max was one of the worst forgers to come out of his era and is lucky to be doing relatively well 😐. I could have named more but for the sake of keeping this short, do your own research if at all interested.
He is so good at his work that I thought he faked his face
