that wasn't evil, it was - just - necessary, its engineering, where would you find the needed flow of "liquids" to keep the canal if not from the sewage.

Second job is a great description of Eve Online. Was a heavy industrialist and capitol pilot. Started playing during RMR, stopped playing a few years ago. Had to stop, I was pulling 16 hour days too often.

EVE Online...now that's a name I haven't heard in a long, long time... Also, PTSD flashbacks.

@@fiesesalien Saved up enough to get an Orca before I quit, with the intent of making huge bank with my friends (since we all were running mining barges and saving for the higher tech versions). That was almost 10 years ago, it feels like. I bet that behemoth is still sitting in my account.

​@@OneJazzyBoi EVE Online has sadly no barrier-free options so I cant see anything currently. But in a few years I will give it another shot and see if it's still fun ^^ I bet if you tried it out again with friends you probably would have fun too. All the mining, chatting along in teamspeak and just fooling around :) I am so waiting for that peaceful mmorpg... What was that name again? That's the perfect game for me. Chatting with friends and just enjoying a farming life hehe. EVE was at times very stressful. Stay crunchy.

Hey Kibs, just a tip in the cargo terminals, it helps a lot in the throughput if you feed the traffic counterclockwise because the output traffic dont interfere with the outbound traffic. Awsome series btw, just keep going o/

You have the train stations backwards (or at least the traffic going to them). You want the trucks turning right into the train station and then exiting to the right so they do not block each other. Just make the one way roads and turn your other one way streets around. If they are really busy you might add a buffer road (an extra loop) for them all to fit in without blocking other roads and intersections.

Hey Kibz, if you want a "good" health situation for your citizens, why not use water with "extra ingredients and spice" instead of boring, regular water. I mean you have an entire canal full of it just waiting to be pumped into the local waterpipe network.

Yeah maybe you could run said spicy canal behind that eldercare home so the nurses can enhance that water straight out the window instead of having to walk all that way to the disposal room. Efficiency = a dollar saved.

I'm so glad you finally uploaded a part two. I've been sitting on the edge of my seat for the better part of a month. But boy did you deliver, keep up the good work!

When I was playing this game a few years ago, I came up with a reasonable challenge. The basic theme of the challenge is to build all the top tier wonders (fusion plant, space elevator, etc...) one in each city, and each city on a different map, with all of them reaching metropolis status. The condition is that each city must unlock the prerequisites for the wonder it eventually builds. Therefore, the negative prerequisites (e.g: high crime for a year) on certain stages can't be cleared on a throwaway city and just deleted, you have to overcome them (and no save-scumming either).

I was looking forward to this. I am beyond thrilled that you are doing a city’s skyline series.

Cmon man, EVE is far from free to play. It's 15/mo if you plan on going beyond the most base level of characters and being skillcapped super low. And unless you're dropping cash for plex to build up a large enough isk pool to buy into a carebear mining cartel or doing some space trucking or indy shit you're gonna have to build out for a ratting ship or kneel to one of the dominions. Eve is expensive, slow, and time consuming.

To make traffic prefer going down one road instead of another (for example, traffic travels from A to B but can either go through road x or y, but you want traffic to prefer going down road y because x already has a lot of other traffic unrelated to A going to B) use the traffic mod to make the alternative route have a faster driving speed. Vehicles will always prioritize the fastest route - so by making (back to my example) road y 50 miles per hour and road x 30 miles per hour, the vehicles will route down road y instead of x. Solving your problem at 11:10 :)

I'm very much enjoying your evil plans so far, got a bit more to watch on this vid. Just wanted to say you can get the building spawn points mod to easily fix where the trucks enter and exit your cargo hubs without having to completely rebuild your highway access at 12:40. It lets you choose where the trucks go in and out according to the videos I've watched, haven't gotten around to actually using it since downloading it yet because I'm on a new city.

You made one MAJOR ERROR with the cargo train stations ... You put them on wrong side of the road To avoid crossing over (and therefore a bottle neck) they must be on the right hand side of the when using one way roads (so as you drive past the station it's on your right)

EveOnline is amazing, but it literally takes an entire human lifetime to learn all of the skills

you can offset the workers union policy with the tax raise policies, you essentially get free happiness

Played Eve 14ish years ago. A friend at work recommended it and had lots of isk. So he gave me a crap load and off I went. Fun game. Sim city more my style now.

My 2 favourite games, Cities and EVE. Damn!

One of the things about the freight depot is that all the traffic goes into it on loading dock 2, then comes out on loading dock 1, and has to cross the traffic to get away, so it literally gets in its own way. Another one of these absolutely braindead things that traffic in this game does. I'm pretty sure there's a mod that fixes that and it relieves like 80% of the traffic congestion. (alternatively you could of course have traffic come in from the other side.)
