I AUDIBLY gasped when I saw the thumbnail. I've been imagining Shadowpeach to this song for SO long. 1:23 "One day you'll figure me out, I'll meet judgement by the hounds" OH MY GOD. I've listened to this song on repeat for a long time and I still wasn't prepared for the roller coaster of pain this put me through. This line in particular has always stood out to me, especially when the context is shadowpeach. Macaque never really knew Wukong as much as he thinks he does. "By the hounds" is very easy to compare to the Jade Emperor and his celestial army as they are brutal and messy, which is what you'd think of when you think of a hound. Anyways, this animatic is FUCKING AWESOME!

Writing tjis before I finish watching it: Been waiting for it!!! Tbey fill my brain Watched: STOPPPP UGHH!!!!!!!!?!@(3+(2 😭😭😭 THE REALIZATION AT 0:53??? AAAA Also I see this as mainly being Wukong's point of view and at 2:00 it shares a bit of Mac's and I find that really cool that Wukong feels upheld by other people's expectations, after all, he is the Great Sage equal to Heaven, Handsome Monkey King, The Hero, The Sun, and once he meets who he believes to be an equal, Mac, he feels relieved, yet even Mac at the start had expectations of him, he would always believe his word and choice, even if he doubted it a bit, his admiration for him would end up in following Wukong, and at his death not only did Wukong fuck up all he had left from his past but also the only one who could've been with him forever, left lonely with immortality, but also it freed Macaque from any respect he had left for Wukong, he wasn't the best anymore, he was a god no longer, he was a shameful king, someone who's destruction will kill everything, that including whatever he loves, but even so, I think Macaque still has care left for him, that's still Wukong, it may not be The Great Sage, but it sure is Sun Wukong. Anyway!!!! Monkey brainrot I wrote too much mb PS!!! Now looking at it, 2:00 could also continue on Wukong's pov, since as its depicted here, he wasn't in full control of himself, more in a subconscious state of “Fight and win, losing is not an option”, because Sun Wukong is known for being BRUTAL, that monkey is dangerous, with staff or no staff he's no one you would wanna mess with, and in a sense, while using that unlimited strength he used to fight alongside Macaque before, he now betrayed him by using it against him and ultimately causing his demise
