I always smile when they ask for details so that they can get back to you. They take your personal details (if you were daft enough to give them) 99.9% of the time they pass those details on to the police and then ignore you. They must think that everyone has their level of intelligence.

Considering now that even 6 year olds have phones with cameras , that is a really good point , as well as public photography , they could teach them what is , and is not, appropriate photography.

Someone who says that there will be consequences when they haven't got a clue what they can do and also have no capability to follow through are effectively issuing a threat in an attempt to change your behaviour. That comes under the Protection from Harassment act. Maybe not serious enough for the police and CPS to do anything but still enough for their employer to be liable.

Right. She used a threat to force compliance to an unlawful demand (unlawful, as her demand has no presupposition in law). A person who uses threats to force compliance with unlawful orders, has demonstrated that they have psychological anomalies that render them unfit to be allowed to engage with members of the public.

This has always been one of my arguments regarding audit videos. How many people whom get angry when filmed are happy to buy papers like the Daily Mail, Sun etc etc whom often invade peoples privacy but don’t like being treated that way themselves. I think it’s quite a lot.

More to the point, how many people who work for the organizations that routinely invade peoples privacy for money, don't like being filmed. Even when THEY approached the cameraman.

“ You will face legal consequences if you put me on social media as I haven’t given you permission” I love these people they do make me laugh 😂. As for shutting half the car park because of H&S I’ve never heard anything so ludicrous, all they had to do was just close off that small area. Another great audit from you guys 😁👍

What's interesting is the selfish thinking of these people. They wish to curtail freedom. Imagine being on Blackpool Tower but not being able to photograph the view because you could not get permission from everyone individually in the town? Imagine being at Alton Towers but not being able to rake pictures as a momento because people in the background had not given permission. Imagine the crime boom if every cctv camera had to be shut down because not every single passer by had signed a waver.
