I live in the states … Specifically Massachusetts .. We have a huge festival/carnival every September and there has been a booth for the past few years selling game sticks and handhelds that appear identical to this … So I price one out fully being aware of how much I could order one for and the young man, blue to my face said “ Oh the handheld? I can do that today for $250.00 for you sir …. Needless to say I held in laughter and respectfully passed.

I don't mind the analog method for playing DS games on these devices. I've had a DS with an R4 card and it's great for stuffing all your games on the system but needing firmware updates every so often which became a hassle. Frankly, Nintendo probably thinks they can stop emulation by making devices with gimmicks like dual screens or touch displays and the fact that that Emulator is functional and playable on almost all the cheaper handhelds with a single small screen at this point is a testament to the tenacity of Emulator developers.

One of the "L" buttons ( I think L2) will give you both screens for DS games

aaaand the Analogue Pocket takes another hit. thousands of more games at good quality for 1/4 the price

Like you said, i quit the Gameboy just before the screens and games really improved. Now I'm glad to be back with the quality they have today.

Looks pretty good and the price is very reasonable considering a lot of the prices of some of these games. My brother had a gameboy and GBA after and we had a snes when we were kids.

Good review. I have the Miyoo mini plus so I probably should skip this one. Thanks for testing N64 Crusin' USA I will be very tempted to get it if it runs well.

Just got it last week from Ali express. I freaked love this $50 device. I did buy the wifi toggle $18 and USB adapter $12 to get to updated. Stereo sound not the best but again $50 from arcade to nes DS. 64G SD card. Only problem was, windows wouldn't properly copy and paste the files to a better SD card.

It's perfect! Like, who want to play any retro games on only one device BUT including the psp ones. This device is great but I wish they made a version that is NOT like a gameboy and more like a Nintendo switch (without any joycon colours). Anyways, as always, great review Wicked gamer and collecter! You are one of the best KZreadrs that review the cheapo handhelds and retro game players!

actually if you have a nintendo switch (specially lite) you can modded with a chip and play retroarch in it, i have mine like that and it's awesome, plus you can play some DS, 3ds amd psp games as well.

Ordered one of these things for my brother for Christmas. We grew up with the ugly grayscale brick Game boy. We loved the game gears color screen, but it was six AA batteries for a fraction of the game time. Good old dot matrix LCD. We collected gaming handhelds over the years and eventually did get our hands on one, and even an Atari lynx.... I really wish that console taken off. The Atari lynx was ahead of its time. The GBA was my go-to In high school.

Just paid 36 us bucks on AliExpress... Can't wait

pretty good product for the money, i'm tempted. Problem is that I don't like the way all the buttons move when you press one button and the clicky start/select/function buttons, why don't they use rubber membrane buttons.

First handheld I ever got was gba sp day after I bought psp

N64 seems to be the most difficult to emulate, so i guess a good octa core 2ghz cpu is needed.

I think it’s difficult because the emulators are not optimized to run it, not because they need an octa core to run. Having an octa core processor in your own PC back when the N64 was the latest console sounds extremely expensive!!

No, it's the chip. Even under ideal conditions with optimized firmware including optimized emulators - it is simply not able to run the whole n64 library. Guess that there are not many chips around for which the emulators were optimized as much as for the rk 3326. Full N64 emulation is just beyond its technical abilities. Same goes for DC and PSP. Some light games will run nicely, but not Chains of Olympus, GTA or so. Sadly this won't change a lot in the future. These 3326 handhelds should be bought for up to PS1, because that is where this processor really does a great job. btw Nice testing, Sir Wicked! 👍😁

That would be sega saturn unfortunately. Many handhelds that can emulate dc and gc quite well do not even attempt saturn. It is crazy that Saturn emulation is not even close to being accurate after all those years.

I grew up with a Philips MSX2 home computer... yes I'm old🧐

Have you tried connecting it to TV? Does it work? And can you add a gamepad to play 2p? And if so can you connect it to the TV and connect a pad at the same time or there's just one OTG port so you have to choose either TV or pad?

Except you can’t change the emulator for MAME2003. A couple of favorites won’t work like alien storm.

Does anybody knows if it can emulate other platforms besides the ones they are included? The other day I saw someone with a scummvm emulator on it. Also, what happens if use a 128gb on the rom card and a 32gb on the firmware one? You know, bigger sd cards, does it affect anything?

Anyway to connect wifi through the otg port?

Correct your information please! This device has RK3226S! (I know is not written on the chip but if you search the code you will find it is S version) (Also has DDR4L, the R35S had DDR3L. It has better performance than the R35s.

I got the R35S. I cut up and put a small piece of electrical tape over that blue light. It's meh. Pocket-Go S30 does the job for everything I like that's not on my Switch.

u americans are lucky with those prices, we europeans pay 50-60 usd for this from aliexpress.

It's a good device, but they pushed it too hard. It doesn't play N64 worth a darn, it's just too taxing for the device. Other than that, I like it alot. Nearly an Anbernic RG353VS

They will play perfectly. The console he is showing is already superior in hardware than the Miyoo Mini+, which can already play all Pokémon games for those consoles (the 3ds will not play on the Miyoo Mini Plus)
