Feed 'em, give 'em baths, play with 'em, make sure they aren't neglected otherwise. Now when I go somewhere that I can't take her with me, if my mom is home, she takes over until I get back. The only thing that I can't do alone is bathtime. With this dog, it's a two-man job.

My husband & I each had to pass the test & be approved by the others furbabies ~ I don't think it would have lasted otherwise! But, he had a crotchety old (12yo) chihuahua who bit everyone except my hubby & his 2 kids!!! He didn't mention that the 1st time I met Tater. He had something to do & left me in the livingroom. When he came back, Tater was snuggling in my lap. He was amazed, but that was my relationship with Tater until we lost him @ 17yo. His birthday was the day before mine & my hubby would get them mixed up. I told people it was OK, he had Tater longer than he had me! I had a golden & 2 cats. My hubby won them over immediately too. My golden would pull pranks on him occasionally. Hide his work clothes or shoes, during the night, etc. But I never thought that I would find a guy who was the way I am about our furbabies. But I found him. God gave him to me.

I was in a relationship until one day this guy comes to my house and when he sees my dog and cat he goes I am allergic to these animals…. I was like ok the door is wide open again 😅

@@princessk_off_everything Honestly, I still don’t know but I’ll tell you what I do know. In like March my dog started drinking about 20 oz extra but I thought it was because where we are it’s pretty warm. Well with drinking more water he peed a lot more. I honestly didn’t think nothing of it. Fast towards some weeks he’s eating and drink still playful but a little more tired. Again I assumed because of the wheather change. Well about 3 weeks before he passed, I and everyone noticed he lost weight but I stopped giving him as many treats because I wanted him to be healthier. So he stopped eating, I thought it was odd but he had the lamb and rice formula and he wasn’t a big fan of that so I changed it to the chicken and rice healthy weight, well he started eating again drink water etc. I’m thinking everything is okay, about 6 days later he stops eating again. I’m like that’s weird, he loves chicken but he continued to eat treats and food out the kitchen and table food. So I meal prepped him some food, he ate for a couple days and then stopped. I started to get worried so Saturday morning I think it was the 10th I took him to a emergency place because I had already had an appointment for the next week on Thursday buti was concerned. Paid $600 and they took his levels and said his insulin was high and he had a bit of an infection and after test it was concluded he didn’t have diabetes but pancreatitis. So I got all the medicine and everything. Started him on the meds nd that’s when his decline just happened so fast. He started throwing up blood, it was dark red like black, he wouldn’t eat and couldn’t keep anything down. Because it was Mother’s Day weekend they was closed Sunday and I went on Monday, I was at work (I wfh) and he was so sick I left and rushed him in. Atp they told me his levels were worse and he has a 70% survival rate if I admit him but wanted $1300 and was expecting the payment that day. I didn’t have it. I paid bills I just got a new truck etc, so I literally spent the last $300 in my account to get him injections fluids and took him home. He seemed better but he was still getting sick. I started syringe feeling him and having him drink water. Literally got no sleep for days. Tuesday night I swear I had an alarm every hour and a half I didn’t sleep since Saturday before Mother’s Day. I was up checking on him giving him medicine force feeding him, well I fell asleep around 9-10ish but I must’ve slept thru my alarm, well I woke up at 00:11am and he was unresponsive in bed next to me. His body was still so warm, but he didn’t respond. I blew in his face , I pulled his eye lids up, I checked for his heart and my baby was gone. It hurts because I don’t know what caused it, what I did wrong, if I could have prevented it, I don’t know anything. The vets couldn’t even tell me, they said sometimes it just happens. I didn’t have money to bury him my room mate (he loved her so much) was awake so I texted her and she was absolutely devastated. She set up all the arrangements for me. I still cry literally like break down. I think since he passed I’ve only gotten thru 2 days without crying, it’s so hard. He was my everything. Literally my friends say that man was treated so well, like a child. I’d hold him for hours in my arms, 2 of my friends said they missed his hugs. I just miss him. 🙏🏾🙏🏾

US, UK, Canada barely have any street dogs ... All dogs are kept in shelters .. Only abandoned dogs become street dogs but are usually rescued. It's only India that has soo many street dogs 😢.. In our area I always give Food to our street dogs ... But since i live in an apartment, it doesn't allow dogs 😔

It's a man best friend because they will love you unconditionally and won't turn their back on you when something better comes their way (granted, such is the case with dogs, that end up having a good human guardian that shares the same sentiment with them). Not sure if you are aware of that, but there has been quite a few researches done about this and - the all the results suggest that human-dog interactions elicit the same type of oxytocin positive feedback loop as seen between mothers and their infants. And that, in turn, may explain why we feel so close to our dogs, and vice versa. The reason why they are our best friends is because of the altruistic bond that develops between both the dog AND the human (it's not just one-sideds).
