Hey David, thank you for the update video! We've missed you so much during the time you were away. It's nice to see that you've never let fame get into your head. The industry is fast paced and it can be gruelling, but you should never have to feel like you have to please others all the time. You have a talent which not many in the industry has and that's the reason why we have stood behind you. Keep doing what you want to do and you're comfortable with, rather than what you have to do for the likes of the "higher-ups" and we'll always be there to support you in whatever you wish to do for us or for yourself, sweetie :)

This is an old post but David really cares about his fans to live an update. He was growing up at that time & he was learning to be his own man instead what the label wanted him to be. He had a metamorphosis sort to speak.

And I thought I was the only one. I am probably his biggest fan. I wish I could describe how. I thought after the missionary, I will finally see him just be happy and satisfied but I still feel like he is still in the search of something in his life. With his album, The Other Side Of Down, youll be able to analize about what he goes through in a vague way. I just wish him the best oz he deserves it. I miss seeing him soo happy and enjoying everything.

My oh my! After soo many years..my Baby Archie has gone to this! Gosh! His sweet voice is still as it was before! I still love him and I'm glad that he's been faithful to his religion..unlike those Hollywood stars that's been stuck to illegal drugs or something.

Bravo David! Enjoy the process and take all the time you need! Its a joy to see you evolving, discovering and creating.

My son got home from serving a 2 year LDS spanish speaking mission too. I realize this video was made awhile ago, but I wanted to say the young men and women serving selflessly to help others is Amazing! Hey David. I know what you felt lad. We get into a 'rut' trying to please everyone else. All that does is take away who we are. Lessons I've learnt, if you don't put yourself first, your no good to the people that really matter. I lost the most precious people in the world, to me, my daughters. I have 2 grandchildren that live not 50km from me, but I've never seen them or felt the touch of their little hands. Their mother, my eldest, has cut me out for more than 8 years. Now, I live for me first, regardless of what others think or feel because those that love me and are precious to me, get the best of me. You have a God given talent, given to YOU. Share that when, how and with whom you want to share it. Then it will be your best and ultimately, it must make YOU happy which means you are sharing a special gift with your listeners, you happiness. God bless you. Ps. Hey David! Bienvenido a Estados Unidos! Well, take it slow. After a mission the transition can be overwhelming, especially to someone as famous as you; maybe try to find a balance between overwork and doing nothing...usually people choose one or the other so just take things as they come, don't add to the pile that wILL accumulate on its own. I recommend Tyler Ward, Kurt Hugo Schneider, and Lindsey Stirling as some self made successes who can help you with video production, music,etc. Well I guess that depends on whether you want to be a more of a performer and less of a KZreadr or a hybrid of both like the aforementioned people. Patreon is a new way that more and more artists are using to finance their music through fans and fans alone, and I recommend it as a great way to do what you want without unwanted interference. Bueno espero que has leído ese parafo porque solo quiero ayudarte como puedo. En verdad como fan no puedo hacer mucho hasta que unes a Patreon...en pocas palabras no sabes que tus fans de verdad escriben con sus corazones. Cuidate mucho, sigue adelante con Dios! :) :)

Thanks for your vlog!! Appreciate your honesty. Feel bad that people have sent you negative comments about your hair, etc. I personally like your hair anyway you want to wear it. You are AMAZING and I hope you know that the majority of your fans love you for who you are!!

All you need is support and take a step down and just get use to your environment. The world grew bigger than ever before. Catch up and you'll be fine. Your exprience in LA wasn't a great one. And you see the lifestyle there as not a good one Yet you want to go back to music because that's what you want Well. Focus on you for a change Maybe this is Time for you to focus on You. You. You! Be a little self loved and try new things and the more you go into the world of social media, and getting the hang of things , you could go back to the industry The mission didn't kill your time Even if it did, catch yourself again and continue this trend, grow!

IF he is gay, I'm sure he has a lot of inner turmoil going on. Since he's so intertwined with the Mormon faith he was raised in, coming out would be exponentially harder. I can imagine he would feel a sense of shame and think he's disappointing a great number of people if he comes out of the closet. He is a great talent, and seems genuinely kindhearted. Please be true to yourself David, gay or not. Be your authentic self and happiness will follow.

Katherine España I did say IF, just saying as a fellow gay man I can recognize my own kind. I'm sure you've heard of gaydar. And why shame on you guys? So him being gay, or any other person for that matter, is a shameful bad thing? Sexuality runs the full spectrum. If someone is gay that's not a bad thing. Just who they are.

I don't understand why people are being offended that other people are saying that he's gay. Weather he is or not it's who he is and there's nothing wrong with that. By you guys getting upset you guys are saying that being gay or thinking that somebody is gay is offensive or bad, it's what some people are and that's it. Love is love and God loves all his children, love thy neighbor right? I know gay people form different religions and they are doing just fine. We are nobody to be judging weather you are something or aren't. You may not agree with the way some people are but you have no right to judge. Viviian G I think other people are getting offended for the simple fact that, whether or not he is gay or not, it should be his decision to tell people and he shouldn't feel like he's forced into it because of what others are saying. It's the same thing that Lance Bass and countless other celebrities went through when there were so many rumors swirling about whether or not they were gay. They felt pressured and self-conscious about coming out and confirming their identity to a bunch of strangers, especially when it's so taboo and especially with someone who is so into this faith, it has to be difficult seeing so many people saying that he's gay when he's been raised to believe that it's a sin. Just like you said, no one has the right to judge how he lives his life....therefore no one has the right to judge him to be gay or not and shove him out of the proverbial closet if he doesn't feel ready to come out, or in fact, doesn't even need to come out because he's straight.

I think everybody is used to seeing version of David that is bubbly, talkative (in a good way), funny and likeable but i believe what we are seeing in him right now is his matured version: less talkative, full of insights, and of course, calm. At first, i thought he's becoming unhappy but i realized that he changed indeed in a way that is entirely different from the old David we know but given the fact that he inspires me and I deeply respect him, I accept the way he acts either bubbly or serene because what can i say, it's David Archuleta people. You can't find someone like him nowadays. :)

Hi Izzy, David came in second place on American Idol, Season 7. and if you have been following his career, Janice Kie he has been in the limelight since he was very very young. He sang in the Mormon Church as a little boy and performed with his Mother. He won the Junior Star Search Competition show at age 12. He has performed in public ever since.

you need to break away from that church mentality. you have a very beautiful voice. sing something that's not religious in nature once in a while. actually produce an album that will be heard by everyone from every background. your religious beliefs are holding you back. i know you aren't completely happy. you need to face your fears and just let it all out. :) love you.

this young boy has my biggest respect. of course everybody knows about his great voice, but altough i never met him, i can see that this is a real good guy. always smiling, friendly to those people he comes across and that down to earth. i assume it is not that easy to be like that, while growing up with that publicity. so hopefully he find the strenght to live his life like he expects and do what he likes to do. i'am looking forward to see what he is planning, i'am corious to hear his next songs and hopefully one day he will be in concert at germany, too. my best wishes to him.
