Yes, even though Div A is hard to control with the competitiveness, I still want to see everyone put on a show, Division B will be that way more relaxed vibe with some different things and fun focus :)

Nice Idea, but I have 1 concern about the indivdual performence playing a role in the evalutation. You might wanna consider taking support score on mediums in evalutaion for all the support guys who keep their team alive instead of doing damage.

I mean it's mixed. Some people would argue for a good support score but there's absolutely people with high support score and barely any damage contributed.

Good question, when we were drawing up the plan to score players, we realised that it can be pretty easy for someone to trick the support system, as there’s ways to boost it up etc. I do wish to have that in the game/league because it rewards support players but I think it’s quite difficult currently by the way THE FINALS works

@@THiiXY I agree there are ways to gain support score "for free". How about some special points for the support player as you're doing for teams that played the objective well? I think this would be a nice idea to reward support players.

embark has actually reached out to a official esports organiser in india to promote and organise tornaments involving 'THE FINALS'. i am actually very excited for its future as a lot of streamers have started streaming it as well here in india.

Ayy I appreciate the kind words! For sure it’s no worries and the league should be open most of the year, so even if you want to play near the end just to get a feel for the league etc then I think it’s fine.

I love that you as a content creator are actually making something fun and something that will help the community! Everyone is always going player numbers are down, balancing sucks, remove TA but i feel like people are bringing more negativity into the game than is needed. Your an awesome creator and I cant wait to see this!

Thanks Julio, yes I think I’m mainly concerned about them good ole gamer tears but then at the end of the day I’m really one of the only ones running this so it can’t be too bad. We are always looking to improve this so we will see over time :)

I would personally like to see some money aspect added to the competition, it just makes it so much thrilling and makes playing much more interesting. Some rocket league streamer jonnyboi hosts 1v1s and price pool is made out of ppls donations, and it is day and night of a difference for me. Just knowing players are at least somewhat financially motivated makes watching it much more interesting to me, it gives more of mature feeling to the event

That’s a good point, for now I’m keeping the details on the end of year tournament more on the hidden side - I will say that this is mainly a game show focus, so “competitive integrity” isn’t the greatest, meaning that there may be random elements within the matches that in a competitive scenario could be deemed as imbalanced (certain weapons locked etc, game mode etc) fun is mainly the priority. If it all works then I’ll talk more about the tournament coming up.

Love this idea. One game mechanic that I really wish the finals could implement is having a player be the commentator throughout the game. Darwins Project is the only game that I know has done this perfectly rip. The commentator could choose the timed events that they want to activate and also try helping out the losing team with random arena carriables or short time buffs or abilities. Just an idea that I wish would get explored sometime in the future. Maybe for this event yourself or someone that didn’t get selected for match can commentate throughout the game. Just another way to get spectators involved :)

Yes, as I run this league then I’m definitely down to add more features for spectators as time goes on and Embark roll out more things to customise. I think for now they are super busy with the games core and I’ll happily be patient for them

"tech slider things" made me cringe and laugh so hard at the same time LMAOOO I do AV tech for a living and that actually got me hearing ya say it like that

Hey Thiixy! I really love the concept of this league to create more depth to The Finals, as well as keeping a community involved even if they aren’t in the league itself. I also have an idea for a league that would act more like actual sports with seasons and playoffs, I’ve planned a majority of it but I don’t have a platform or the connections to make it happen yet. If you have anything you can share to help I would very much appreciate it, and I will definitely be active in this league that you are starting. I think it’s super cool and a great vision for the future of The Finals!

I would definitely like set loadouts for division A as well as a spectator. Maybe less often than in B but still have it sometimes. Basically make this a division where you show your skill at the game overall among all aspects and not just being really strong at the meta loadouts.

Yes, but we found that support score can be manipulated by shooting heavy barricades using goo etc so we decided not to count it, when Embark give more data then we will 100% factor in a lot more but for now we are super limited :)

Hi dude, thats an incredible idea. but can u explain "2nd chance" thing. each player has 1 attemp to try himself in league ( or 2 attemps if he is sub ) and then he can only take part as a viewer or how will it work?
