SKITTLES, a 34 year-old social media influencer and HIV prevention specialist, loves his glamorous, high maintenance life. He has a customised Versace robe for every day of the week, each one worth over $1000, and a wardrobe full of designer bags. He says he never lives by a budget, if he ever needs more money he’ll just ask one of his sugar daddies. Today Skittles is throwing the super sweet sixteen he’s never had, to celebrate how far he’s come since his childhood and you won’t believe how much he’s spent... His best friends, including Eden Doll, are coming to celebrate and they can’t wait to see him in his party dress which is pink, floor length and embellished with diamantes.

@@catapillargirl2021 right! If the items of clothing are being donated to homeless shelters then it's not quite as bad, but I'm fairly certain that the clothes just end up in landfill, taking forever to break down because none of it will be pure cotton or pure silk, they will be blends with what's basically plastic. The "and cost me , and all these are so they probably cost all up" bragging makes me angry and nauseated. Sure, if you want luxury brand items and have the means to purchase them, go ahead. But that "I'm better than you peasants who would use this amount of money for something useful college or a house deposit" attitude is awful. Admittedly I have an entire room full of pricey items at my place, but it's my musical instruments - many of them custom made - which I use daily for hobby and hustle. I've played in two hugely respected orchestras. So my instruments essentially pay for themselves eventually. My husband is a career musician (music is my side hustle to my veterinary career) and borrows my instruments a lot as well or he'll ask me to play something for a track. Even with two very comfortable incomes, we live modestly and people wouldn't guess that we have a room worth more than the deposit on our house. I'd rather be frugal and mindful of the world we're leaving behind for our kids, and put money aside for them to start their independent lives with.

Healing inner child is necessary. However, many psychology literatures warns the danger of "being controlled by childhood trauma". Unfortunately, he showed signs of wanting to revenge on 'what he couldn't get in his childhood'. Hence, it is very reasonable to believe that he is under the control of his childhood trauma. I myself was born raised in a country side of a third-world country, in a single-parent, low-economy family. I experienced a fair share of childhood trauma. I understand that the need of validation comes from being ashamed of your background. I am glad that I understand how dangerous it is. I wish nothing but the best for him. Throwing a huge party because he didn't have one back then only confirms his validation, and hence his childhood trauma. I pray that he would understand this issue and move on / forward, leaving his childhood trauma behind.

I have just one question: WHY? You are an "influencer", but what/who is it you are trying to influence?
