I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry (Hank Williams Cover feat. Skylar McKee)
Elvis's chords, Hank's blues. This guitar belonged to my Dad's uncle Broadus McKee, a big part of my musical lineage. It's an honor to play it, and I wonder if this isn't the first time it's heard this song. Thanks to Skylar and my parents for helping with the shoot - there was a fair amount of sound dampening and lighting setup involved, which I still can't really do because of my back! And shoutout to Josh Turner for some critical mixing guidance 🙏

This is better than at least 99.9% of anything on so called country music radio these days.

That's the truth! They just don't know what country is anymore.
Isn't it one of the saddest songs of all time? I had to learn it for voice class years ago. Could barely get through it. This was beautiful. Thank you both.
Carson plus old country equals beautiful!! Brother’s harmony is perfect as always!!!!
One of the greatest country songs. Pure poetry. You boys did it justice.
A Great backing track for the Monday Morning Blues. Thanks guys. Great work and loving the duo content as of late! Skylar‘s grown a lot as a musician too. Awesome to see his ability and confidence grow over the videos
Sibling harmonies are rivaled only by looper self harmonies. And Mckee harmonies are as good as it gets! Great job guys. Cheers\=/\=/

I agree the Carson Brothers Harmonies are the best!
Annnnd The McKee bros do it again!! Just plain beautiful fellas!!❤❤
thanks guys - i always love when you two collaborate - Skylar is looking fit and trim - congrats man. Carson, I hope your back issues resolve soon. Keep making the music!
Harmony only brothers can produce!
Hank's masterpiece that speaks to the lonely hours in life with enduring poetry and haunting melody. Thank you for this, Carson and Skylar.
Such a sensitive rendition of the tune Elvis called the saddest song he knew! Great singing, guys. You do Hank's poetry well.
wow that was very touching. It is one of the saddest songs of all time
I believe Hank would approve. That was gorgeous!
Knowles and Hiram are standing together and listening. Fred just nudged Hank and pointed at you two. Old Hank is smiling. Thanks, I'll play along.
“I can't get over that” ~Hank Williams~ from heaven
Just beautiful. And after that....I'm so loathsome I could cry...about my own singing.😢
Beautiful!!
Love you two together. Harmony is divine.
This is really interesting to me. You've taken the honkytonk out of Hank's version and made it into more of a hymn style... and it works! I think Hank would like this version. It captures poetic lyricism of the song nicely. Also, great job with the brother harmonies (as usual).

Always good to hear from you!! Thank you. There was a *feeling* in Hank's I was trying to focus on. The sadness, the hopelessness, but the weird beauty of it all as part of the human condition. And many kudos to Skylar.
Thank you for sharing. Thanks to the whole family!
My dads fav hank song, I can still hear him singing it thru the house as I was growing up….I miss my dad. You guys are amazing artists. ❤❤ I’d love to have your version on cd.
The Force is strong with these two.
One of the most epic sad songs Hank Williams ever wrote. Nice job guys ❤
I grew up on Hank and you guys did it perfectly! Thank you for this song.
Skylar looks like he’s really feeling this one! Glad to hear you two again ❤
Great harmony guys! I’d like to hear you do some Everly brothers stuff…..
Mr. McKee, I do not know how to respond to you other than to say and your brother are fine singers and musicians. Keep up the great work.

Damn right. That was gorgeous!
Wonderful....great harmony ..👍😊🎶🎵💕
I’ve always played Hank songs with just his regular three or four chords, but they way you put this together makes me want to switch it up a bit. Great job brother!
Oh what a beautiful song and delivery! Thanks, you guys are great!
Goose bumps. ❤
Aaahh..........pure.
Wonderful
Jeez, that was beautiful, thank you.
O man that short is legendary
Slow waltz, sad song, wonderful performance! Thanks to you both!
What makes that song special and what makes country musicians like Hank Williams special is because they are the real deal. They aren't putting on a front. They are singing about their lives and their lives are just as interesting and admirable as their music. But when fake hipsters that were raised by privileged parents and don't know the first thing about the kind of struggles that man faced in life try to play his music it takes away its value
Carson, I just saw that you made it to 100,000! Congratulations!! 🎉🎉🎉
Theres two of you now😮😮 The world just got better
Great job guys. Most of all you were true to the melody. The harmony is super. Thank you for a great song. Keep it up.
Great choice with the line cliche for the verse, it really adds to the melancholy feeling
Beautiful, guys! The blend of your voices is magical!
Classic. Well done.
Great rendition! It begs for Gabe and his cryin' fiddle though. Any chance of a second version with him? Great harmony.
One of my favourite songs, love Elvis's version. This is also beautiful 👍
This is one of the saddest songs lyrically. As usual Carson delivers with the help of his brother. Fantastic people and musicians singing great songs. Well done ❤

Wow! That brought out the 'feels' for sure! Love that old Kay Parlor guitar too. You and your brother are superb together, and with other as well. Keep up the great music! And come play here in Eastern Ontario sometime, would you?
I follow you and your group and wow you ALL understand singing backup. You 2 should do Everly bros.

Absolutely love it and the parlor guitars are nifty! Seems to be a story behind most guitars.
Lo Ve from Philly ❤😎
Hank would be proud. Good job!
Great performance.
Carson your voice is just superb.
Nice!
Nice work guys! I really enjoy you two playing together. As a father of a musician, I'm really curious about what your life was like growing up with music. My thoughts are that it was a pretty cool house and your parents were musical as well.
Amazing guys, great job. I'm truly amazed by your talents.
So good!! Could you do a cover of Glen Campbell's recording of Wichita Lineman please? :)
Fantastic as usual.
