Man, I've never and I mean NEVER have followed a channel like I do with G&G. I love cars, but when it comes to the mechanical depth of what you can do with a car, I have no knowledge of. But you guys make it more entertaining to the point where I can sit down every Saturday morning at 6am just to see you guys create these videos with passion. And I see it in every video I watch. It's sad to see the FD go, but excited for new things as well. You guys are my Top Gear (in comparison to the shitty US version) and I cannot wait till next Saturday to see what you guys have in store!

The road trip with the 2 rx7’s is what introduced me to this channel. i was so invested into the journey. this made me love the rx7 more than i did before. it’s sad to see it go, but i am very excited to see what is ahead.

I just sold my WRX, the car I lusted over for years until I could finally afford one. I did really love it. I tinkered with it, I modded it, I broke it, I fixed it, and I just generally loved it. But that underlying 'this is going to blow up' mentality really made it hard for me to keep it. With the market high and things starting to go wrong with the car, I sold it. Do I miss it? Yeah, but I don't think I miss miss it. Cars will never make you permanently happy, just temporariy. I don't really know where this comment is going, but this video hit home for me.

As a Focus ST owner I got the same feeling about it…. I bought the car 2 years ago, fun, loud, amazing car and last summer my engine nuked itself but I was like “f#ck it” fix it and everything and now I’m like 😑 maybe just maybe is it time to move on…. Can’t say

Sometimes it’s perfectly okay to enjoy things while you can. I bmx, and I know I won’t be able to do it forever, and at times my motivation to ride comes and goes. But I do enjoy the times that I do get with it and I know later on in life I’ll cherish them even more

I feel like the love you guys have for the projects you work on are what keeps your content so interesting and your film making style so different and professional. The RX7 is a beautiful car and I wish you luck with your new S2000 (I think..?)

The way footage is recorded and edited really strikes a chord. I love cars and what they mean. Not enough people understand the feeling. This channel is one of my absolute favourites. Would love to be making content with both Ben someday

Thank you for this video I thought I was only one who loved my evo 8 like you love your evo 9. I got mine when I came back home from serving in the Marines had for 8 years now it's been down for 6 years. Trying to find time and money to put it back together I'm doing all the work my self it's getting there I painted the engine bay my self motor is final refreshed. That’s how i felt about my sti hatch, it was my dream car and was never going to sell it, then sold it two years after. And I realized i already had my perfect car. My ‘90 miata. I found it sitting at an old lady’s house in need of a water pump for only 900 bucks. Now, 5+ years later, the NB1 swapped, boosted, track slaying monster is out there hurting feelings!😂 and making me smile every time i drive it.

The RX-7 road trip was what brought me to the channel. It was the first video I watched and let me fall in love with all content made from G&G! Sad to see it go, but excited for the new adventures with the S2K!

Knock on wood my 2017 WRX has been bullet proof. It’s well over a 100k now from when I had a huge commute to work. Haven’t done a single repair other than maintenance items. I probably should sell it off before it does blow up!

I think this is the right decision. While I do think the FD is an incredible car, what I enjoy most on the channel are the EVO and the Civic.

Safe to say no other car content channel is as complete as G&G. Cinematic, storytelling, emotion, humour, GOOD car content, personality of the Bens; literally the best of all of the worlds when it comes to car content. 11/10

Sad to see the FD go, but as soon as you said you already had a replacement, I just knew it was an S2000. Really hyped to see what you build that into, treat it well and drive it properly, and it will reward you greatly!

Good choice! I had a ‘93 FD and it was always being worked on more than it was driven. I also had an ‘02 AP1 S2K and that thing would run around the world and back with just the basic maintenance… as long as you don’t try and launch it hard off the line (don’t ask me how I know).

Great content as aways. I'm at the exact juncture with my RX7 after 13 year. It's gone a far way to completion, single turbo conversion, wheels, spray job, custom v mount but I struggle to get time to drive it properly once a month. Looking for something a bit more all round now. I enjoyed this content and look forward to the new build.

I'm gonna miss that rx7 especially when you drove it to the mountains and attack the corners smoothly and who can forget about the explosion of that diff. Goodbye rx7.

I am on the verge of tears right now. I love the FD3S RX-7, yet I always say I wouldn't own one as my first choice. Fragile interior, expensive, and constant pressure to not destroy it while having fun and lose focus. Yet when I saw this video in my feed, I literally shouted, "NO!" I had grown so fond of seeing an FD filmed in the G&G style, I always got excited to see new videos with it. If I had the chance and the finances, I would have offered to buy it. I will miss this car... not so much the Keisuke Takahashi hair. Never bleach your hair again Ben.

Its sad seeing the Rx7 go. Mainly becasue the video I watched on this channel was the Rx7 road trip video and i loved it. seeing how you put the money and effort into this car is a good enough to let it go. I of all people will miss the car but also excited on your thought about brining rotarys back in the future maybe .

Had the exact same journey with my FD. Loved seeing it in the garage, never drove it as much as I should have. The chassis and engine are great but the truck transmission in it is hot garbage. I miss seeing it in the garage but I never used it. Ended up buying a 996 GT3 and have been putting more miles on that since. Very similar feel but much more reliable, better inputs. Big running costs still though :v

That segment and feelings on the Evo 8, is exactly how I feel about my 3V mustang it's my first car and I know normally we get rid of and sell those things, but I know it like the back of my hand. I have so many memories in it and I've dump so much money in restoring and building it and making it a nice handling daily that I can beat on and track and then drive to work.

S2000?

Personally, selling my FD several years ago has been my biggest car regret. I haven't been able to find anything the makes me feel the same way, and with the market doing what it's doing, the car feels constantly out of reach. When I bought mine, I spent $19k on a '94 R2 with only 28K miles on the clock. Now, that same car would probably fetch $70K on BaT. I feel you on the nerves of driving an older car that is expensive to repair, but honestly I wouldn't think of the car as an investment car if that keeps you from driving it; rather, I'd think of it as a car that after you let it go, will only get further and further away and make less and less sense to buy again after you sell it. To that point, even if you dearly miss it, you'll likely never feel good about pulling the trigger on another one. That's my advice as a former FD owner at least--if I came into a ton of money tomorrow, I'd definitely buy another and would never sell it. That being said, our circumstances are very different, and you definitely have a stable of amazing cars already, so my feelings are likely to differ from yours. I will say though, I've owned an AP2 as well, and while that came and went, I don't miss it nearly at all. It's a great car, but everyone seems to have a certain car that just resonates with them, and for me that seems to have been the 7. It'll be interesting to see if the S2K scratches the itch of the 7 for you, 'cause for me it couldn't quite do it, haha.

This is the most Honda Honda story 2 kids can go through. Lessons learned beat on Honda’s and just drive everything else.

I haven’t been subscribed for that long but this almost made me break in tears. However I’m pretty sure everyone supports you in your decision and even if they don’t they’ll come around eventually. We’ll all miss the RX-7. And I’m pretty sure I can say this for everyone, we all just hope that you enjoy this car as much or even more as you did with the RX-7.

As a fellow RX-7 owner, it's definitely a bummer to see the FD leave the channel, but everything you said I can one hundred percent get behind. For me my "Lana" is my SA - way too much money in it, miss it every time it's off the road and I'm not able to work on it... Heck, mine has been out of commission for about eight months now for a new engine and some other changes and watching this made me miss it so much more. Looking forward to the new S2K build; you guys never disappoint. Keep up the good work.
