it was never long turm she said in her opening interviews her 10% was not for the long run 3 to 5 years and was only to get us started and our feet off the ground and look where we have come as a club in 3 years we got our club back, we survived the impossible drop after Christmas, we are no longer a relegation contender, we have been to our first cup final in years and got championship league football last season and for the women a league title and promotion to the champions, she has kept her word and we owe Amanda everything, just hope she is leaving us in good hand where the investment still gets put into the women's team and the our blue still has that connection with the city, the community and the local charities. they have done so much for this club in 3 years and we owe them everything. iv never known owners to follow a club home and away Amanda and Mehrdad we will miss them that's for sure. Merdad and Amanda did for me what no other club official has ever done in the 50+ years I’ve been supporting Newcastle United. From the time the takeover was announced I’ve never felt as connected (even though I live in Australia) to my club as I have done over the last two and a half years. And that all that connectedness or a huge proportion of that was because of the public face of the club, Amanda and Merdad . It’s a sad day for the club that they are departing. I still want my club to do as well as it possibly can and from my distant view it looks as if all the progress is still ongoing,. The public fase of the club is hugely important. The club really does have to do something to enable a similar public face to keep the good vibes going. I hope the club takes heed of all the comments surrounding Merdad and Amanda because it’s an essential part of ensuring a successful club. #HTL #NUC.

Amanda leaving was inevitable at some point unfortunately. PCP Capital Partners just don't have enough funds to invest into a club with the ambition that NUFC has. She had to borrow money off Mike Ashley so PCP could buy their 10% share in 2021. PIF taking a more hands on approach at running the club now is what I'm interested in seeing moving forward.

Really sad to see them both leave, why cant the club make her the chairman of the Women's Team and employ her?

Lee, I couldn't of said it better myself. I have had to move to London for personal reasons so don't get the news like I used to in North Shields. Absolutely the takeover is top for me. And Trafalgar Square ( before I moved ) was manic. . HWTL

I can never thank them enough. They will never have to buy a pint in the city ever. They are already legends, but when we finally lift a trophy again, they will be GODS. Favourite memories HAVE to be takeover day and the fact she gave us fans more statements and communication in a week than we got in 14 years of the fat controller 🖤🤍
