if my iPhone gets lost, I don`t connect my Mac to the internet, safely secure my files, and then follow the subsequent procedures. Also, we should do a backup of my files and photos in an external SSD, which costs around 100 USD for 1TB. If I belong to a billionaire family then I buy a NAS for my backup.

Are you sure that's the moral of the story? This requires a "friend" who is really the most evil snake to work, AND for you to not have Stolen Device Protection turned on, AND for you to time travel back in time before even this remote possibility was already fixed before you uploaded this video, AND for the thief to be your identical twin who has the same Face ID, AND for them to somehow get past the one hour delay-lock period. But most importantly, for you to be dumb enough to give your phone to an evil "friend" who wants to ruin your life, AND give him your passcode, AND for you to somehow have bank apps that don't require FaceID (which I am not even aware of those but maybe there are some.) I'm sorry but this video is so hyped up misinformation. Lying and exaggerating and misinforming the public with fear-based half-truths is not a service, sir, it's evil.

Wrong. FaceID uses 3D. It's much easier to lift a fingerprint from your cup and recreate it. But much harder to use a 3D stereoscopic scanner on someone's face and then go to a 3D printer and have the exact dimensions correct, while putting the right infrared living body signature into the dummy face. Maybe 007 can do it but not your average thief. Pegasus spyware hacking works much easier on Android phones. For an iPhone they have to steal your phone and mail it in to an overseas lab to hack into it. In this case the only ones who are able to do that are government security agencies.

Enable the higher security features built into iPhone and you're fine. 1. Turn on Stolen Device Protection. 2. Require FaceID 3. For any app that contains personal private finance information, turn on the option to require FaceID for opening that app. With that simple 1,2,3, it's much easier and better than all (mis)information in this video. Samsung phone hackable via APK vulnerabilities using Pegasus. iPhone not possible unless your a government security agency who mails your phone to the overseas lab. Unless your iPhone is stolen by the CIA, you're safe. On Android, you got 19MB of private data literally uploading daily to Google which is then traded to hundreds if not thousands of data brokers, all putting it in their own database, just waiting for one day a hacker to break into one of these hundreds of systems and do a ransomware and dump it all onto the dark web.

Use Guided Access when giving phone to friend, it locks them to a single app. 3. Stolen Device Protection turn ON 4. Set one hour delay and FaceID during main account changes. 5. For the rare banking apps that don't require FaceID (are there any?), you can set any app to require FaceID to get in there. For example if you're dumb enough to keep bank account numbers in a Notes app or something, just require FaceID to open the notes app.

That's because you were misinformed by the video. Those ecosystems are far less secure. Vulnerability to viruses and spyware is about 100x greater. In addition, both of those OS's have built in spyware and more security vulnerabilities. If you set up FaceID and stolen device protection correctly, the Apple ecosystem is ALMOST unhackable. The exception is if the CIA steals your phone and mails it to an overseas lab to use the famous Pegasus system on it. And even then, newer iPhones are often unhackable by this. (It comes and goes on which time of the year the newer version of Pegasus can get into the phone, and when the iPhone update has blocked it again.)

At the time you wrote this, your MacBook Air M1 is 3 years old. Your random freezing is probably from some other software you installed. Try logging in as guest user to verify this. When you see it's working fine, you will want to uninstall or create new user account for yourself for a fresh install. Next time be more careful installing junk utilities and what permissions you give them. Unlike Windows, you have full control in the Settings app over what permissions the junk software is allowed to do. For ANY DEVICE that uses USB-C charging, there is a rule. Use a Qi-pad. The USB-C port has a mean-time of failure of 10000 plug-ins before something will break in there and it won't work anymore. Use wireless Qi charging and only use USB-C for data transfer and other uses, and the USB-C will still work on the day before the device dies for some other reason.

In western countries FaceID and/or 2FA are required to even open the app. This video is mostly hyped misinformation about a very hypothetical case that did happen to careless people with no security turned on that were also drunk and letting someone spy on their passcode. It's no longer possible and even wasn't possible then with the right settings set up. There's a reason why Microsoft requires its employees in China to use iPhones. It's the most secure phone by 100 times.

The number You use for 2FA should always stays in your home , Never Ever use your personal number.

While you may be correct, the current state of affairs suggests that the Apple ecosystem provides the highest level of security available. To date, there have been no reports of security breaches on iPhones. Moreover, incidents of fraud tend to occur among individuals who exhibit carelessness not only with their phones but also in their general approach to life, such as sharing OTPs. This, however, should not be misconstrued as a failure on Apple's part to provide top-notch security for their devices. As a proud user of the Apple ecosystem, I remain confident in its ability to protect my data and ensure my privacy. I have no intention of using Android for my personal use or storing my data on it, as I am aware of how readily a third-party application can obtain access to all of your personal information.

@@GaganPrajapati You did not set up the FaceID + one hour delay on changing password. You did not set up a screen time passcode different from your iPhone passcode. You did not set up FaceID to unlock the settings app and any other app that contains private financial information. If you do all this, you no longer have any security flaws AND you are 1000 times more secure than a phone that literally uploads 19MB of your private data to Google and Facebook daily. For those who do not know, Facebook has been caught numerous times in breaking the privacy laws of many nations, and is the parent company of Instagram and WhatsApp. If you use any of these services, I'd definitely get an iPhone. There is a reason why even Microsoft requires their employees visiting China to have iPhones.

iPhones are cheaper than Android. Most people don't know it because they only look at the price to pay to get it in their hand. But Android phones don't last half as long. Their resale value drops very fast, so much, that most Android users never resell their phone when getting the next one. By the time you bought your third Android, you actually spent about double the money of buying and keeping a single iPhone, which is still getting all the updates and functioning better. At the end of the day, if money is a problem, you can't afford Android. You can't afford NOT to get an iPhone. Find one in good shape on the used market. Even an iPhone 12 is a good choice over a new Android, so check the price comparisons.

Turn on Stolen Device Protection so there is one hour delay before any account changes can be made. (It also notifies every other apple device when someone tries this, so you can remotely block them.). Turn on FaceID for any apps that have private financial data. Require FaceID to make account changes. Now you are properly set up and safe. It's a shame he didn't share this real information which only takes 30 seconds to show. Instead he scares people away from iPhone to use much less secure Android. Did you know that corporations who send officers to China REQUIRE THEM TO USE iPHONE? There's a reason. It's much more secure. Just use the right features.

Sorry, you were uneducated with misinformation cluster bomb. An iPhone with FaceID and Stolen Device Protection, means no one could do this unless they are holding a gun to your head and making you do it. And no other system can stop that scenario. But in the Apple system, there is also the one hour delay protection built in. So then they have to wait an hour and make you do it again. And if you accidentally type in wrong code, you can lock it out for even longer.
