'I’m over everything' - Letele on courts following Nate Nauer's jail sentence

BBM owner and community leader Dave Letele (Ngāti Maniapoto) has come out saying the justice system is racist and is calling for change. This comes after former radio host Nate Nauer appealed a jail sentence issued last week after he was convicted of money laundering for the Comancheros gang.

Considering the laudering he did to help the gang operate... 2 years is light.

Really Dave is just dumb and being a tad racist. We already have crime skyrocketing because of weak sentencing and WOKE judges.

Pretty sure they looked at the crime, and acted accordingly. Pretty simple really, don't break the law.

Im not familiar with law or this case inparticular but im assuming that judges cant just do whatever they want. There are i assume, precedents. Also, dave is clearly ignorant of history if he thinks justcie was was dealt out in a more reasonable way before the british arrived. It wasnt.

While Nate Nauer has done some good for the community and the marginalised, associating with gangs like the Comancheros is kryptonite given the harm that they wreck on Maori and Pasifika communities.

Yes totally agree with you about sending nate to prison. BUT the reality here is the fact of any association with the OMCG is the real issue.

His point for pre 1840 system is not to be dismissed. The late M Jackson from Auckland Uni talked about this alot. But maybe the money as a colonial system of the exchange of value in an economy should be illegal for parts of our economy. They must only use what was in existence in 1840.

Dave Letele - Show some backbone and condemn Nate Nauer for what he did. Your comments are pathetic as courts already deliver failures as far as sentences go and you are just inflaming the situation. Use your platform for the good of the country but this rubbish.
