The reason things like this happen in chess is because, at this low a level, not only do people not realise that they can take a piece, but when they DO realise, they will often talk themselves out of taking it because taking it would be "playing right in to your hands." and they're a lot smarter than that. This is honestly true, without any chess knowledge and with the myths of what chess is, people tend to gravitate towards mind games to try to be clever.

Imagine if he removed the "25 bucks if checkmated with pawn" and they actually managed to do it.

The opponent must have been playing a "no green in the analysis" challenge, I can't explain this game in any other way.
This may be the greatest video you have ever made! (Or at least out of the ones I seen) I was continuously baffled at how things kept progressing and was even expecting the opponent to randomly resign, abandon the game or stalemate you.
If you queen with a pawn and lose the queen, technically you lost 10 points of material
Legit one of the funniest videos on this channel, that was 49 dollars well spent to whoever did that
The reason things like this happen in chess is because, at this low a level, not only do people not realise that they can take a piece, but when they DO realise, they will often talk themselves out of taking it because taking it would be "playing right in to your hands." and they're a lot smarter than that. This is honestly true, without any chess knowledge and with the myths of what chess is, people tend to gravitate towards mind games to try to be clever.
