even though i never thought too highly of him, im not gonna give up on him because i can’t just ignore what he did in 2022. the thing jp has to get used to now is the fact that he’s targeted. when he was playing on on the warriors, as good as he was, he wasn’t focused on nearly enough; now the game plan when playing the wizards is how we stop YOU. but that also lead to the point of him needing to mature. he needs to pick his spots better, have better shot making IQ, learn to care more on both sides of the ball, and so much more. he has the potential, he just has to realize it himself.

In fact, in his most recent game against LA, my guy hit 7 threes and lead the Rockets in scoring on pretty efficient 3FG. People are just so hung up on that Memphis-LA series that they can't see him for who he really is: a really good role player.

People expecting Jordan Poole to be THE guy is the issue. Even at his absolute best in Golden State he looked like a very nice sixth man type player. I would argue that the Warriors either gambled on his potential to become something a little more OR more probably they faked everyone else out thinking that and turned him into a big contract and trade piece. Despite his income the Wizards should use him in the second unit and let him rebuild himself and gradually give him the more desirable minutes as he improves his consistency and then the starting role.

I don’t think the Wizards are keeping him, especially if he gets back on track. But let’s be honest, his work ethic was definitely an issue last year at the Warriors and this year too. The clip where he doesn’t pay attention in a huddle then misses the play, then fucks up the play speaks volumes. I want to root for him, but it’s very hard to right now. He’s playing like ass, yet his confidence is sky high. Which isn’t always a bad thing, but who turns around on a shot trying to be like Curry when they’re shooting 28% from 3? His biggest flaws were turnovers and defense last season. And he doesn’t have seemed to improved on either. We’ll see what happens the rest of the season, but for now, he’s lost me. I just can’t support this dude.

Even yesterday when he had 30, He was awful. Bad shoting splits and shot every second possession. Made his teamates get out of the game and every time he played, the bucks started to grow their lead

Yeah but like there’s a clip of the dude not listening to the coach while he’s talking about the last play of the game which could end up in a win and JP was just going “dude just give me the ball this is my team I got this.”

I dont think yall realize steph legit makes everyone better than what they are. Look at rhe fg% increase when steph is on the court. Klay, KD, draymond, wigens, poole, they all jump up 6-10% in efficiency for FG with steph on the court vs without steph on the court.

All the players that he named that weren’t the best player on there team had an amazing talent that mostly carried the team but JP doesn’t have that type of talent on his team

Jordan Poole should be on the Spurs. I know They have Vassell and Wemby but they would be good teammates for Pooles game. Not a duo of Poole and Kuzma, the MJ and Pippen from the circus.
