Right. Amazingly though, he didn't even miss a fully game because of it. I think those are the kinds of injuries - multi-game misses for key players - they might be referring to. We've flirted with that a bit - Nick Bolton, Charles Omenihu missing multiple games - but missed it mostly I think.

The first one Chris Jones missed time in the playoffs and Pat missed time with a dislocated knee Number 2 Mahomes literally had a high ankle sprain and their entire WR core was injured in the championship game Three they lost all pro gaurd Thuney, Omenihue their number 2 or 3 pass rusher no one could catch and LT was a mixed bag and Kelce was dealing with injuries most of the reg season

Only team I’m worried about going into this year is the Texans. Playing the bills in the playoffs is better than the bye It’s a guarantee win. Cincinnati hasn’t been relevant in like a year and a half. We’ll see what Joe going to be.

Actually the reason why they lost was because they was playing against Post Season Brady. KC always had issues against Post Season Brady and his squad. 2019 AFC CHAMPIONSHIP - KC vs NE 2021 SUPER BOWL - KC vs TAMPA BAY But can they 3 peat? Possible they are a dominant team

There's a difference between one or 2 nagging injuries and not well let's Baltimore RB and TE room getting devastated or Patriots 2 best defensive players going down for the year early. They didn't say no injuries. They said Cataclysmic. Like Brady getting taken out game 1 Cataclysmic. Not counting the Bengals cuz they did it to themselves by playing a knowing injured Burrow saying it was their best chance to win the Jake Browing looked great at the end if these season. They're just stupid. Something that drastically alters your teams play, chemistry and talent level. Even a hobbled mahomes is still mahomes

I know right!? The Chiefs are like the Greek gods of the pantheon sitting atop Mt. Olympus right now, with Patrick Mahomes on his throne and Andy Reid and Brett Veach as his high council where the fans who reside in Olympus are so spoilt. The rest of the NFL is looking up in hate because of envy and jealousy. Right now, Mahomes is like Achilles and any other QB at his best is just Hector... Hector a very good warrior but still a mortal tasked with fighting a literal demigod. This is the NFL's Jordan must see years. I feel sorry for anyone not born or too young to witness this era, especially future Chiefs fans who aren't born. The first time it hit me, was when Mahomes in his starting season, scrabbled left and then right and made an absolutely unreal pass to Chris Conley in the back of the end zone while 4 defensive linemen chased him and threw it past triple coverage off balance with sniper-esque precision. At that moment, before the commentator said it, I said it and I think anyone watching live in real time, all said the same thing in unison, even 49ers fans lol.... "You gotta be fcking kidding me!"

Losing Jones or Mahomes for rest of the season would be the only thing to keep them put of the SB. Carton Wentz with Andy Ried chiefs could still be a playoff Team But prob not a superbowl team. Chris Jones is are only HOF level defender, so losing him we wont have that unstoppable force on defense. So it be 50/50 on us stopping a great offense.

Healthy is a biiiiig stretch. Bolton missed half the season, Mahomes has been injured a few times and missed a few games because of it, Kelce was injured a majority of the season last year, O-line a few years ago was banged up so bad they only had 1 starter left during the super bowl vs the Bucs. Omenihu tore his ACL during the AFC championship game. WRs were just riddled with injuries all year, seemed like half of them were out or limited every game.

I’m thinking the teams with the best chance of stopping the Chiefs from winning their third straight Super Bowl are all in the AFC. My list is Baltimore, Buffalo, Cincinnati, and Houston, these teams seem to have the best chance. The schedule makers have given each of these teams a warmup game against the Chiefs in the regular season. I’m not sure it’s a disadvantage for the Chiefs, but it is definitely an advantage for those teams to get some non-playoff hands on with Chiefs.

Chiefs have not been healthy, they’ve been banged up on both sides of the ball. There just weren’t any catastrophic injuries up to this point. Outside of Mahomes ankle sprain that should have ended his 2022 postseason run.

The only reason KC hasn't had many "catostrophic" injuries is because when they do have key guys on the sidelines, they win anyway. It's only "a catastrophe" if you lose. If Mahomes doesn't limp through the playoffs to win a Superbowl a couple of years ago, that ankle would've been "catostrophic." But he played through it, made plays, won games. Research, please. 🤷

The only injury that REALLY matters is Mahomes and maybe Travis or CJ as long as they are healthy they should be ok

So, the Chiefs signed Kelechi Osemele - to play left guard, until he got injured in Week 5. The Chiefs' right tackle, Mitchell Schwartz - was out because of a back injury. Finally, Chiefs left tackle Eric Fisher tore his Achilles in the AFC Championship. That was the proverbial straw that broke the camel’s back. Mike Remmers had to move to left tackle from right tackle. That moved Andrew Wylie from right guard to right tackle. At right guard, the Chiefs inserted Stefen Wisniewski, who wasn’t even on the team until the playoffs. At left guard was Nick Allegretti, who replaced Osemele in Week 6. The only Week 1 starter remaining on the unit was center Austin Reiter, who was so bad he was benched for two weeks in the middle of the season. So you could factually state 5/5 OL weren’t even starters at some point during the season.
