Ouch! I ride on roads and off-road, and riding on the street scares me far more than riding in the dirt. Dirt's usually softer, but the road you were riding on looked hard and had varying surfaces. Always tough. Glad you had your helmet on!

I had to stop doing off road trails with "street" tires. took one good fall last year shoulder still hurts

also check the inside of helmet. they're really only good for 1 major impact

David, you don't have much luck riding on dirt, and it's only a dirt path I wear knee and elbow pads and gloves when I go to the bike trail because falls do hurt your ass and pride but I want full Body armor 😅

You gotta be cautious the tires are to small for off road. You need a 24 to 26" tire for that. 👍🚲🛴 Gotta watch that Karma. We are the light! Be safe David.
