I went through the same thing 20 years ago! My wife is from Texas and I'm from Canada. I also had to provide photos and love letters and everything I could to prove that we had a legit relationship. I remember my interview and I was nervous too. I also remember going to the airport with my 1-way ticket. Thankfully, everything went fine and 20 years later we have 2 teenagers.

I used to work in "The CIty", as locals call San Francisco, and it is expensive for a reason, so much to do, so many fun places to visit. Make sure to check out Fort Point con su esposo to take some fun pictures (it's an old fort the base of the Golden Gate Bridge on the San Francisco side with lots of history). Also, so much to explore in all the Bay Area. Welcome!!!

San Francisco is a beautiful city (with some unfortunate side effects from the results of that popularity) but people with very specific political viewpoints want to paint the city as "dangerous" or "horrible". Just smile and nod at them because other than the cost of housing, you'll have an amazing time so enjoy the beauty of the Bay Area!

Hola Ali, ¡ahora eres una mujer internacional! Desearía que te mudaras a una ciudad más bonita, como San Diego o Salt Lake City, etc., pero California ofrece muchas áreas hermosas como Lake Tahoe, Yosemite, Redwood Nat'l Park, Napa Valley, Monterrey/Carmel, etc., varias de ellas son mundialmente famoso. También está cerca del Parque Nacional Zion, el Gran Cañón, Sedona, Monument Valley, Yellowstone, Grand Teton, Glacier National y Western Colorado. Si tienes la suerte de ver algunas de esas zonas, nunca las olvidarás. Hay una gran cantidad de personas que hablan español en Estados Unidos, así que con tu habilidad en inglés espero que te sientas cómodo. Espero que informes cómo te va en tu canal y tal vez hagas algunos videos de algunos de esos lugares. Cuidado en San Francisco, no es tan bonito como hace 20 años. Ahora hay problemas en varias ciudades importantes de Estados Unidos. Ojalá algún día mejore. Espero que veas sólo las partes hermosas de los EE. UU.@@espanolconali

Felicidades! Dinos en de un año si todavía estás contenta con San Francisco. La vivienda es ridículamente cara. Los impuestos están a nivel europeo y hay muchos problemas de gobernanza en la ciudad y el estado.

"At one time was..."? Never seen or heard such an expression. Usually they say "Once it was..." or "Some time back then it was..." Is your kind of expression legitimate in English, or it's a sort of foreigner's accent?

And besides it's interesting too know the reasons: why S.-F. is this much bad. Sincerly, I too was shocked having heard that Alicia moved to the US, cause in the light of last sociopolitical events the situation in the US looks much worse even than in Russia. But my opinion was based more on video and blogs from NY region. Can you tell a bit more why you consider not desirable to live in San Francisco?
