For people having stomach issues after eating ramen: it's not only because of spices or MSG, but the preservatives used in it as well. And Shin Ramyun has Maltodextrin in it which causes inflammation in liver especially if you have sensitive stomach with GI issues. I have IBS, so I know this. But I used to enjoy Shin Ramyun before I got IBS. Hope this helps to clear the confusion.

For the people who are worried about the egg being raw, you can get a similar consistency and flavor by just adding everything to the ramen in the last minute of cooking while making sure to continuously stir. You need to have pre beaten the egg, or else you are pretty much guaranteed to have wispy egg white floating around. It doesn't really bother me, so I don't really worry about it.

This looks pleasantly delicious. I'm trying to do more with ramen but haven't gotten too far in terms of experimenting, the closest today was making a regular pack of ramen, frying and egg and topping it with chives. Although I did put salt pepper and garlic powder on top of the egg whilst frying, it was pretty good for being a bit plain compare to what you do with ramen. 😅 thanks for trying and sharing , I shall try this soon. I'm gonna have to try this one. My favorite is to sauté garlic, onions, ginger, and mushrooms in butter directly in my ramen pot, deglazing 2 to 3 times with a mixture of soy sauce, mirin, sherry, and brown mustard (just a dab or so). Then I add my water and seasoning, bring it to a boil and add my noodles if I'm using packaged ramen. While that's going I beat an egg or three into submission, and when the noodles are almost done I stir the pot briskly and add the thinnest drips of egg that I can, continuously stirring in a circle, so that each drip threads out and cooks almost instantly (like egg drop soup but with the yolks, too), then I serve it up garnished with some green onions and chashu. I prefer to make the noodles from scratch and keep a large pot of broth boiling, adding egg and noodles for each serving as I go, because it tastes better, but the downside is I have to stay in the kitchen serving the kids, so I'm thinking about trying a hot pot style, if I can find something big/safe/affordable enough.

For any instant ramen and cup-a-noodles, add lots of Old Bay garlic and herb seasoning. It elevates everything 2 levels. Pass the word!!! Tell your grocer!

Usually do all the seasoning stuff tossed into boiling water first. Add egg(s) appropriate to portion size, add thickening agent like condensed milk or mayo, add sesame oil, make sure egg(s) is evenly combined with soup, then add in the noodles to boil with ingredients. Usually flavours the noodles better than boiling in water to soak in soup later.

Something I have been doing for a while now with my instant ramen noodles is I've been adding garlic aioli. It is very tasty and very easy to add a bunch of flavor.

I usually prefer Japanese rice-ramen/noodle that you can get in tall packages at the supermarket just like pasta. Mainly because instant ramen is wheat. Also, a teaspoon of rich soy oil makes the broth taste extra nice.

That's almost same technique as a cooking carbonara. You mix egg with cheese (pecorino or parmesan) and then put mixture into pan with spaghetti and guancale(meat for carbonara) and add some spaghetti water to mix mixture and spaghetti.

Hi Lisa the egg is a Great Idea. One of my Hacks: Once I’m finished cooking my Ramen Noodles & the veggies Plus, combine my Hot Sauces. I like to take a Dollop of Sour Cream. This turn my broth into a - RICH Creamy Broth. It reminds of the consistency of Creamy Tomato Soup but has a Full Body Thai Food Flavor instead.

@@scarletttruffle7506 I’ll check it out! I mainly eat Mexican hot sauces (with Louisiana/Southern being a close second), but I love all hot sauces. My favorite of all time is Valentina for general use. Soooo good. But Huy Fong Sriracha is my go-to for ramen.
