They described it as an Oceans 11 type of heist. Almost as if Barbara Eden or Elizabeth Montgomery had something to do with it. But that is fantasy this is real life here. So it was clearly an inside job. Wonder what the FBI ever said or conclude about this? Wonder if any of the higher ups ever thought ''maybe we should check around to see if the money is here?'' Wonder what Joel said about the matter?

Ever heard of just doing the right thing because . . . its the right thing to do and your satisfaction should be in your clear conscience? And of course who knows if his conscience is actually clear. He could've taken some of the envelopes without anyone knowing.

Sounds like an inside job. That guy will get his reward in heaven if it's God's will. He did what was right and now he's probably being shunned from the church. That was a big secret. BUSTED! Everything done in the dark comes to light. Lol They were probably trying to avoid taxes.

If an insurance company paid a claim for the theft, then it’s their money, no statute of limitations! Luke 8:17 “For there is nothing hidden that will not be disclosed, and nothing concealed that will not be known or brought out into the open.” God is righteous and just.

It would be the loving and right thing to do to give this honest man the reward that was originally offered. ANd the church should contact him and thank him right away. (Unless there is some suspicion, of course.)

You really just have to know that God appreciates your honest heart. He remembers the good you have done even if it goes unnoticed and unappreciated by others. On a salvage job I found $150,000 plus 10,000s plus in jewelry. Gave it to the owner. When I got to $100,000 finally I asked for a raise. He laughed and said that was a drop in the bucket to what had been there. I found the crumbs left over and forgotten.

If I was an investigator, I will start questioning all his haters first, At this point I’m not believing anybody, specially the media.

I find Joel's behavior in all of this to be rather odd....I would immediately be on the phone to the guy to say thank you and given him a reward. Joel has been silent and searching his mind for what to do next. The way he is acting in all of this makes him look suspect. The story was odd from the beginning being described as in Ocean's 11.

@@jameschang2873 Many false pastors, preachers, teachers, etc. exist nowadays. Most followers of Yeshua (Jesus) that I know of, don't follow tv preachers like Joel Osteen, but we hope that he repents and follows Yeshua as well.

I encourage people to watch the interview Justin, the plumber, did for KPRC 2 on December 5th. He wanted Joel to contact him to tell him he did the right thing or talk about what he did in his sermon. He said he was “a little upset” and feels like he is getting “punished” because he didn’t get the reward money. Lakewood Church donated $20k to Crime Stoppers as an award to the tip that lead to an arrest. Crime Stoppers turned around and gave that money to Justin. How is this man surprised they gave him the reward money after he publicly said he thought he deserved it for “doing the right thing”?!

That was Joel's stash. The cops are investigating him now. Bye Felicia.....and hello Honest Plumber!

If the evidence was collected properly, DNA and finger prints should be able to be collected. This could crack the case. Statue of limits be damned. 10 % to the honest plumber.

I do agree that a number of televangelists do "make merchandise of peoples' souls" as 2 Peter says. Joel Osteen will get his due at some point. His view of Christ's atonement (the born-again Jesus in hell) is going to earn him eternal destruction.

He can't respond yet. He's trying to come up with an excuse as to how it got there. You're being punished because you weren't supposed to find it!

He is like any tv pastor, he is in it for the money , you don't need his thanks, your honesty is what really matters.

Why he did not keep his mouth shut and took all that money and gave it to a real church to help needy people.

Imagine the debt relief if we taxed churches and other religious organizations..

That tax exemption is not 'free', it comes in exchange for the government controlling what is and more importantly what is not preached about in church. So our government thinks controlling what is preached in the church of higher value than taxing them.

Why do people make these pastors rich? Can't they not see with they're eyes what's they're true motivation? And about the plumber? I have no words for him.

So he wants praise and applause for doing what is right ? 🤔 Shouldn’t expect anything for being a good person 👍

You ruined his “just in case”escape money!

Imagine if the pastor would have allowed the people who was flood victims after the hurricane that hit Houston and they found the money. Hurricane Harvey, PPE loan return and stacks of cash in a wall at lakewood.

I go to Lakewood church, Joel Olsteen and is family are good people.who have helped many people (which they show us every week through testimonies and videos from people all over the world, including the recent Kentucky tornado victims) Why does this plumber need praise & recognition? You’re supposed to be modest and humble about the good deeds you do. If he actually listens to the sermon for anything other than his name, he would know that !

Well, Joel Osteen has the largest megachurch in North America right now. So, it isn't unreasonable to say he should have set an example for other churches in the area. Just saying.
