Commissioner Stanley Eugene Ditmer (1924-2003)'s "I'm In His Hands" (Song #732 of The Salvation Army Songbook) is led by his wife Commissioner Catherine Isabel (Blaisdell) Ditmer (1928-1991) during their retirement service at the Centennial Memorial Temple in New York City in 1990.

What a great song. I never heard it before and the words are SO true.
This commissioner shows true effective Christian witness and the pouring of Gods power and love. Feel that today in 2024 the SA are losing that, the worship has lost its traditional way, the Army Way Blood and Fire. The old style of Army worship can never be beaten. Lord re send the power of the fire into the SA. They are needed more today than ever in this world.
She was the first person in my life, aside from my own parents, that gave me a very realistic view of the Christian walk. She did not mince words and I loved her straight forward council to me. I truly loved her.
Agree. I am in His hands what ever the future holds. The words of the song are so true in our lives as Christians.

How blessed you were to have such people in your family. I did not know them but how I would have loved to have met with Commissioner Catherine - you can see the spirit and the joy of the Lord shinning through her. Hallelujah indeed!
I was lucky enough to go on a tour to America(I’m from the UK) and I got to meet Stephen (Stanley’s son) in October and it was a real privilege to hear all about Stanley’s life ❤️

I feel that they are the Corps band, since the staff band usually wears red tunics. I could be wrong, however.

@@jamesfraser4173 I'm pretty sure this is the NYSB. It looks like that's Brian Bowen conducting. For events like this, the Staff Band will usually wear the blue tunics.
