Hi Rachel, I went to a packed model railway show last week and wore an FFP3 mask all day - the kind I had to wear in the Intensive Care Unit visiting my brother. It was no bother so if you are anxious, I’d recommend getting yourself one. See you there! 👍

Hi glad your brother is on the mend, I got covid Nov, 2020, spent 2 1/2 months in hospital, seven weeks in a coma, with multi organ failure and my wife was told on six occasions I wouldn't make it through the night. Twelve months on I,m 90% better, hence the new pup and campervan on order, three months booked in Spain for winter, and a new boat. I,m living for today.

There's always FFP3 masks if you're anxious, which I use frequently and then it makes no difference what other people are doing. I finish Saturday so sadly I'll miss you. Enjoy!

Little Dougal is fine, just looking forward to getting home like his Dad 😁 I’m one of those people who loves Brum - not so much the NEC and all its tarmac and concrete, but I’m a sucker for Industrial Heritage, canals and railways, so I’m hoping to pop into the city one evening this week to escape the concrete complex!

There are LOADS of vans inside, and I’ve even seen ‘available for immediate delivery’ in a few windscreens 😳

My understanding from watching the YT channels from motorhome retailers and caravan retailers that most of the planned to be assembled stock for this model year is all but sold out already - if so one wonders why the show would go ahead?

It depends on the definition of ‘sold out.’ Almost all stock is ‘sold out’ meaning that it’s allocated to a dealer, not necessarily an end customer. I think a lot of it will be to do with luck of the draw - you might catch a 2022 production run by a few weeks, it might be months, it could be 2023 season. But at least people can make shortlists and compare notes between dealers and brands all in one place. Remember that most car shows are not sales events but they are also very popular. It’s not just about sales - there are some cool talks to go to as well ;)

@@andrewjditton - I can see that - they were just speculating that what with little to sell and a possible on-going Covid issue to tackle that it may have been cancelled. However the Covid situation is getting better that it looks a bit different now and I suppose if you are a maker then you will have paid at least a deposit for your stand and unless its mandated by the authorities to not go ahead then that is non-refundable so why lose that cash too?

What times are your talks on friday and saturday? Me and the wife would love to sit down and be there for your talks
