Smart move clearing dead stock. Its better to break even and free up cashflow and space. If you zoom out that might mean your annual profit/turnover is 10.1% instead of 10.2%, but you have the cashflow and space to make moves. The biggest killer of businesses is A. Inability to adapt to changing markets and B. lack of cashflow. 👍 stay one step ahead boys.

inspired me to stop pricing stuff for a bit and go to my last couple pages of listings where my oldest items are and end and sell similar.

Know this is random but oda since you’re collecting handhelds I know it’s tempting to keep sealed ones sealed but speaking from personal experience yank the batteries out of at least the sp’s. They’re a bit prone to expanding and doing damage same for psp’s. Though I’m sure u are already aware of this just heads up to anyone who’s not. The great reset is ending all your listings then re listing them all, you dont have to change any of your listings in anyway, just end and re list

Chase and Friends: You need to pull all the awaiting payment orders when you do the eBay orders for the day. And if they are never paid for, they only go back into inventory when you confirm they have been relisted. If the buyer sends a cancelation before the order is pulled off the shelf, you need to make it a habit to again confirm that the item is actually relisted right after you approve the cancelation request. I have seen it where the relist function will actually fail, but the red lettered notification they try to inform you of the failure is rather small and can be easily missed if you're not paying attention. Either way, you need to put a failsafe system or habit in for eBay cancelations. From my experience, it's not so much eBay's fault, but the sellers fault for not double checking that it got relisted. Also, I think it's fair to admit that some of these unlisted items may or may not have happened because of the delist/relist mentality. I'd imagine it's easy to miss a item or forget a listing if you do that on a regular basis.

I definitely have been trying to buy less bulky items because of how much space they take up. One giant toy might sell for 50 bucks but a video game that takes up 1/100th of the space could also sell for that! I guess it all just depends on the scenario but I have been clearing out a lot of stuff lately.

well its also after christmas and new the years. 1st quarter of the year is always slower then ramps up until the end of the year. Happens year after year and depending if your prices are the same or 20% lower than current listing.

You just have to adjust and pivot. 2023 was my biggest year ever and I am putting in place methods and metrics to make 2024 even bigger. Source items with better STR. Send better offers. End/sell similar AND edit stale listings. Get your store moving and turning over.
