To help with your move, why don’t you take us on “shopping trips” in your place! Going through auction boxes is as exciting (or more so!) than Goodwill. Even when you go around pulling things for your sales, it can be as interesting as your Goodwill trips as we learn a lot from you during that time. It would be a win/win for those who like the shopping trips but at the same time you can be culling lots of merchandise to help thin out before your move.

That fabric! It looks like a brocade, and I know exactly what I'd make with it.

Always check purple glass. For some reason a TON of vintage purple glass glows. I’m actually surprised when it doesn’t. Also things glow better with a dark background.

The up close glow could just be residual selenium used in the molds

On the purple piece shine the black light down the edge. I've seen things go boom that way. Try from the sides like you did but also from top, bottom and any edges or cuts!
