"Why am I crying over the bad guy?!" 😭😭 MILLIONS of people cried! Even though Vader caused immense pain and suffering to others, when he renounced the Dark Side, he redeemed himself. In that moment, he rescued the good man that was buried down deep. It's always good to show compassion for any man who renounces his anger and hate and embraces the Good.

Without spoilers, the next trilogy, Episodes 1, 2 & 3 are known as the "Prequels" or Prequel Trilogy. They begin decades prior to the events of this Original Trilogy and provide backstory to some of the primary characters as well as a rich world-building narrative to contextualize the tumultuous state of the galaxy in the O.T.

I was 13 Years old in 1977 when I saw Star Wars in the Movie Theatre and 16 Years old in 1980 when I saw Episode IV The Empire Strikes Back, I was 19 Years old in 1983 when I saw Episode Return of the Jedi in the Movie Theatre. Everyone in the Theatre were shocked and Gasped when it was revealed that Princess Leia was Lukes's Twin Sister. The scene where princess Leia said I know when Han said He loved her was put in as a call back to episode V when Princess Leia said I love you and Han said I know. Anakin Skywalker was the Jedi who returned. Luke hinted at it when he told the emperor that he was a Jedi like his father before him.. Everyone in the Movie Theatre cheered when Darth Vader turned on the Emperor, In the original version Darth Vader did not say no before grabbing the Emperor, He just looked back and forth before grabbing the emperor. In the original version the Force Ghost of Anakin Skywalker was the older actor who played Darth Vader.

Adam Savage announced on his KZread channel he was going to build a replica of the Thermal Detonator the "bounty hunter" threatened Jabba with. Apparently the FBI/Homeland Security people have never heard of movies or a Google search, because they came charging into his shop. They apparently thought this was a genuine explosive device, not a movie prop. Not a good look.

That shot where the two fleets fly through each other was the most complicated special effects shot ever attempted up to that point, with over 100 moving elements, and it was all done by hand with wet-film techniques before CGI was even a thing (although computers were used to track the motions of the cameras and physical models so that they were repeatable). It also has a mistake in it too: one tiny ship that's supposed to be in the background flies _in front_ of the foreground ship instead of behind it (might have been fixed in the Special Edition).

That was a great reaction! Thank you! In my comment to your previous Star Wars reaction, I promised that I will reveal my most favorite line from all the movies I ever watched in my entire life, which was in ep.6, the one you’ve just reacted to … I’ll keep my promise: it is “I am a Jedi, like my father before me”. In eps. 1, 2 and 3, you’ll learn the full story of Darth Vader. Just follow the story itself and try to ignore the differences in effects - those came out decades later. Looking forward to your next reaction. Salutations from Romania …

Yoda only tells Luke he must confront Vader. Luke and Obi-wan interpret that as kill Vader, but Yoda never said that . Given Vader's interpersonal skills, or lack thereof, a confrontation would generally lead to a fight, but Yoda never specified a fight, or a death, was necessary.

@@crankfastle8138 You aren't wrong, but Luke takes most of the blame in this instance. In my opinion. Yoda says "confront". Luke hears "kill". Obi-Wan, who may well have not been present to hear Yoda, accepts what Luke says at face value. That Yoda told Luke to kill Vader. Obi-wan tries to bolster Luke, then to deflect when Luke tries to push off what is expected of him to the "other Skywalker". And given Luke's temperament when he first leaves Tatooine, finding out Vader's truth would have emotionally paralyzed him, he would have denied it, as he later does, and been unable to trust whoever told him. And being trained to use something you cannot see or touch, to rely on it, requires a lot of trust in one's teacher. So Obi-wan and Yoda had to withhold this truth for Luke to be able to act. On the flipside, had their plan worked and Luke killed Vader and, presumably the Emperir, and found out afterward who Vader was, he would likely have gone Dark Side instantly, and probably been more despotic than Palpatine on a bad day. Finding out from the being who just been toying with him before killing him, while knowing full well he was about to kill his own son, was the only way Luke could find out and still retain his moral values. At that, much of the delay in getting Han away from Jabba had to be Luke putting iff the end gambit, knowing after, he had no excuse to keep avoiding Yoda.

And yes, that was Anakin Skywalker standing with Obi-Wan and Yoda at the end...saving his son from Palpetine saved his own soul.Episode 3 will tell you exactly why he became Vader and turned on Obi-Wan, but I warn you to have lots of tissue handy...The final scenes are heartbreaking.

    1. Best guess is that Han was Jabba's "trophy" for about a year and a half before the rescue. 2. Vader discovered Leia as Luke's sister because he could feel it through Luke. Luke didn't know that until just before then. 3. Luke's light saber is green because he lost his old one along with his hand so they decided to make it green because it worked better in the desert background landscape. 4. Everybody is freaking out because Luke and Leia kissed mostly because she was trying to piss off Han. They didn't know they are related. 5. The "I love you. I know" was written into the script to get Leia the shot to say it to Han. 6. This was Warrick Davis'/Lead Ewok first acting gig. He was only 13. Willow is his lead with Val Kilmer and worth a first time/share.😎 7. Awesome camera work with the race through the forest. Nobody in their right mind would go that fast. 8. A little corn. Hans' reaction to Leia telling him Luke is her brother. 9. Jedi is plural. With Luke and Leia leading the way they can reestablish the Jedi back into the galaxy. 10. Ford wanted Han to die in the last episode. 11. This is the best of the original 6 George Lucas Star Wars. After the first six he sold it to Disney, and everything changed. Sadly

Hey Millie,...Just discovered your channel tonight and binge watched your three original Star Wars trilogy videos during the middle of the night. Thought I'd offer a little feedback. I've seen a variety of people reacting to Star Wars for the first time recently and they've all tended to spend way too much time talking over the film instead of watching and listening. And liking the sound of their own voice too much. Some of them were quite annoying and I switched off after a while. Happy to see that you're not afraid of a long, silent pause as you absorb what you're seeing and hearing. Many others feel the need to fill every moment with inane chatter. Glad that you don't. Whatever you do, don't change that. If I had a little criticism, it's when you cut off the audio halfway through a line of dialogue. I know you have to cut it for copyright reasons, but it just feels like it could be done differently to enable some of the more important full lines to be heard. But it's a small thing and I thoroughly enjoyed your reactions to all three films anyway.

of all the things in the special additions, Vader's 2 "no's" in this bug me the most. It's better not to telegraphed his choice. It's like some KZread reactors that watch comedies with the subtitles on. Part of comedy and drama is timing. Subtitles ruin some jokes and I think here they ruin the "will he or won't he" moment with Vader, even though we all know he will. It's better without the "no's" ... that extra few seconds really made it better in the original version (also James Earl Jones voice is way different 20+ years later).

I am sorry you had to see that travesty ending where Lucas removed the force ghost of Sebastian Shaw and replaced him with Hayden Christensen. That was an utterly disgraceful thing to do. Shaw had the impossible task of being the face of Darth Vader for that one scene where he looks at Luke with his own eyes and then dies. To deny him his appearance as a force ghost alongside Yoda and Obi Wan Kenobi was an appalling move by Lucas.

@@anthony310h Yes, I understand that you are not familiar with the films. If you watch the films in release order then nobody sees Christensen as Anakin until AFTER watching these films. Therefore, his appearance is anachronistic. If you watch them in story order, Christensen was last seen as Anakin almost three entire films earlier. The redemption of Vader occurs when Sebastian Shaw is seen, having Anakin appear as the force ghost of a younger man is ludicrous. They might as well have replaced Alec Guinness with Ewen McGregor for all the sense that would make.

I'm trying not to give too much away... click "read more" only if your editor or a helper says it's okay. If you pay close attention to Luke's responses when they come to the part with his capture (not the one at the beginning), you'll see some parallels when you watch the ST. I love how they build on these in the sequels, but many fans don't appreciate it.

The execution was for a _shock factor_ so I understand why people don't like it...

Stop it. 7, 8, and 9 are sloppy "fan" fiction. Written by people who are angry about the OT's protagonists gender.

What are you talking about, @@crankfastle8138? The seed of the Sequels is George's story treatment. The only (main) reason he said they didn't use it is because they didn't use the Midichlorians & Whills deep dive. He was the one who made the main character a girl. He also wanted to bring Maul and Darth Talon into the story. Maul had an exceptional death, and nobody knew anything about Darth Talon. The main reason they pulled Darth Sidious back was he would always come back, but they didn't explain how, and the execution of that scene didn't go over well. He returned to the Expanded Universe. You're the one that's angry about gender. Nobody else cares as long as the story is good. They left Rey's story too ambiguous for some people's taste, but there are plenty of possibilities for her to be trained covertly in "self-defense" as a Jedi, knowing that it's dangerous to be known as a Jedi.

And Darth Talon was a girl, so now you know. It was George's idea all along to bring women into the story as main characters.

Millie, you are a lovely young lady, and I admit that I have a hard time taking my eyes off of you. However, I must also admit that your two furry companions rather easily distracted me from both you and the movie. I'm a sucker for the kitties, in whatever role they take.

There's no need to watch anymore movies, they're all a convoluted continuity mess.
