Depends on the company selling the computer. But generally, pre-built computers have bad balance either way. Generally they are just cramming compatible parts into a casing and don't bother about anything else in terms of construction quality. That PC builders might fancy. And Usually, building your own PC is cheaper if you live in countries where you don't have companies the size of walmart that can buy parts in truck loads and reduce the price due that.

I'm in my 30's and have a teenage son. I was a gamer before I had kids so obviously my kids are heavy duty gamer's now. I built the PC everyone fights over now (myself included) - it was my first and I was very close to not doing it and buying a pre built one. I'm so glad I didn't, even though I was crapping myself at first. Especially when all the deliveries started coming with the computer components inside. I laid all the parts out on to a table and was a little overwhelmed. My wife was like "you better know what you're doing. All that money spent and it could all go up in flames..." Switching on that power button and seeing the BIOS screen come up was a huge moment for me. Even though my wife was like "meh.." My kids were like "You the man!" I also love skateboarding, which my son got me into . A lot of parents don't take the time out to connect with their kids. It's really awesome Terry stepped into his sons world like that.

Nice message mate. You do sound like an awesome dad plus you're never to old to start skating. Skateboarding's so good for you in many ways (not so good when you slam hard but it is just something that's part of the experience). I'm 41 and I've skated since i was 11 (1989). I still get so much pleasure from it even though I'm not trying the kind of things i did when i was younger and could bounce back from a slam in a minute. Great that you're sharing these hobbies with your son.

Quite frankly I think Terry Crews is fucking awesome for doing this. He is big time and wanted to bond with his son and found a hobby that he actually turned out to love. And he makes appearances with a youtube personality, virtually a nobody compared to him, and he is oh so very humble. Love it man. Also, the old spice commercials were as epic as the Deadpool marketing campaign. And the further into this video I get the more I really come to appreciate Terry Crews man. Seriously fucking awesome guy.

This is so rad! Im glad he's a part of the community. He brings more people to the community, which puts more money into the industry, which gives our awesome PC component companies the funds to make better parts FASTER. Truly warms my heart :)

I think it's a great pairing. With Terry, especially. He's such a great guy, very enthusiastic, and brings something to the table that a lot of the people in your audience are kinda missing, you know? I'm honestly glad to see Terry joined the PC building community, I mean.. I just recently got into it as well, but that's just awesome, and just like him, i'm looking into getting custom water cooling going, though I think that'll definitely be a separate pc from what i got right now, since i just spent a ton doing what I could to make mine ass silent as possible

Watched this a few times now. So refreshing seeing some one come into PC gaming territory and tasting building thier own PC for the first time. Not to mention its even more humbling seeing such a awesome person like Terry build his first PC. I can remember putting suggestions on Terry's Facebook page. He's a cool dude and i would love to see him stream!

I never comment about how STARs seem to be because it could all be an act. They could still be in a character, but I have got to say, Terry Crews seems like one of the coolest down to earth and funny person in Hollywood. Very happy that he made a great transition from athlete to actor. Keep it up T.C.

Holy shit Jay, I never realized how alike we are. I too have lost a crap ton of weight, I'm also a huge car enthusiast, and I love the whole PC enthusiast world. That's so crazy man. Keep up the good work!

My second ever build, when I thought I'd got it all figured out and bought actual good stuff, didn't turn on when I'd assembled it. I tried everything to try and get it all sorted, doubting myself through everything and eventually found that my PSU was DOA. I was so relieved and annoyed at the same time.

Amazingly nice to see how Terry Crews is a so down to earth guy and is not afraid in embrasing new things!!

My humbling experience after completing my first and only build was forgetting to run a power cable to the CPU and I panicked thinking I broke the unit while installing it onto the MOBO by damaging the pins. I still remember the feeling of seeing the red light illuminating next to the words "NO CPU" on the board - sheer terror.

My humbling experience was when I tried to install a second stick of ram from a separate kit and my computer would not boot even after taking out both sticks and putting them in separately. I was panic resetting the CMOS for about 5 hours before I realized that they wouldn't work together. I was so frustrated that I actually split my thumb open on my graphics card, bled all over the inside of the case and was flinging blood all around my room from throwing my hands in the air and cursing. Yeah.... Never gonna make that mistake again but it was good for me.

We all make our mistakes, for me I had two issues with my first PC. One I didn't have my RAM seated properly I never realised just how hard you need to press it in and so I didn't push it quite hard enough. Then it finally posted and wasn't registering my HDD because I didn't plug in the sata power connector for it.

If Terry Crews starts a large streaming community... this guy is going to be a multimedia goldmine for gaming publishers. He will have NO problem getting work in the gaming industry lol. the marketing potential is astounding. Terry will be hosting a major publishers E3 conference within 2 years tops!

Love this vid Jay and Terry! I met Mr. Crews almost 2 years ago and I'll tell you what, a nicer celebrity you will never meet!! We saw him from about a block away and hit him with the President Camacho chant, he didn't miss a beat! Great Guy! And Jay, I am about to be 41 now, and am an avid gamer and work in IT, over the past 10 years my weight has gone from 235 when i started to a high of 340, with my daughters support i have started working to get back down to 220, ive lost almost 25 pounds over the last six months and will continue, thanks for being an inspiration in that field as well! Im fixing an older PC because i just dont have the disposable income now to build a new rig. I am replacing the motherboard and it is still a i5 2500k, 16GB of ddr3 2100, Nvidia GTX780, 2 x 256GB Samsung EVO 850 SSD, 2 x 1TB HD with a Cosrsair 850W gold PS. I mainly game in 1080p and this rig will do for now. My next rig will be water cooled and have a budget of around 3k. Cant wait to see what Terry's rig will be, good luck!

Holy fuck this was amazing. Very motivating too, I had no idea you'd lost so much weight.
