Your lighter menu option: Appetizers Bruschetta Shrimp skewers Crab bites Suggestions Bruschetta Watermelon and feta skewer drizzle with balsamic glaze or Fruit skewers I like the quesadilla idea as you can do meat and veggie options. They shouldn’t be as “heavy” as Kayla mentioned tho. At first glance of the shrimp and pineapple skewer, you could tell that the pineapple is canned. I don’t like the presentation. The pineapple could still be grilled tho. Maybe a bacon wrap shrimp option? Crab bites could be a little bit smaller. However, I like the look along with the dip for an appetizer and mostly because yawl really liked it. The BBQ chicken slider option could be on a smaller and more dense bun. Maybe a mini brioche bun? The bruschetta looks yummy!!! On to dinner.. Salmon and white wine pasta is always a hit and would be a perfect entree. I like the green beans with the onions and tomatoes added. I’d offer a veggie medley option along with the green beans for the entree Maybe add Bread sticks?? If you haven’t done so already, request options for vegetarians as well as those with seafood allergies Soul Food menu Since yawl didn’t care for any of the soul food, I’d suggest another caterer OR scrap that idea all together. I’m not going to suggest much of anything regarding this particular caterer’s soul food menu as yawl have already come to a consensus on that. I will say this.. only because I love sweet potatoe. 😄 The soufflé shouldn’t be super sweet as you still want to taste the sweet potato itself. It’s not meant to be a dessert. The drink options are on point!!! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 Yawl got this!! 😍😍

I live in the Atlanta area and have a suggestion on a catering company. Give Carlyle’s Catering a try this is what they do best and there food taste delicious. I’m not a subscriber to your Instagram but will follow today. I have to agree with Marcus, choice number two just works because of the style of decor and the colors. The copper tub will look beautiful for a while but will require maintenance throughout the years because of the water stains that will develop over time. You want to enjoy the tranquility of taking a bath in your beautiful space not it turning it into a nightmare as you walk into your space of tranquility. Well, I hope this helps. Looking forward to the next vlog.

Hello Marcus and Kayla, Try a local ATL caterer with great reviews. 👍🏻 They offer something for every taste bud and the food is 🔥 PUNKIN'S CATERING

One suggestion is to make sure you have a chicken or beef option for your guests that don’t eat seafood.

Hi y’all, happy to see you back!!! I would change the pasta to a penne or ziti noodle because it will look better than people having to slurp the strings of spaghetti up to their mouthes..it’s a cleaner look! Remember people are going to be dressed up and picking up messy foods is not a good look, may get sauce on their clothes etc… kids may touch you with their saucy fingers… so I’d say the less messy is better! Im listening to your plans and its reminding me of my daughter's backyard wedding. Dont forget about the bathroom situation. My daughter and her husband had a fabulous outdoor bathroom with 2 stalls and sinks. It was very nice in a mobile vehicle. You dont want your guests to be running in and out of your house like that.

Marcus and Kayla…think food allergies when selecting shellfish, such as shrimp.

Menu suggestions -Instead of spaghetti do penne pasta -Meatballs as an appetizer either regular meatballs with like a gravy or like a sweet & sour meatball -Rice! Like yellow rice or a seafood rice -Ziti -Hush puppies -pasta salad -seafood salad -No collard green everyone cant do "greens" stick to string beans or broccoli -Pepper steak (🤔then you need white rice too 😆) -Fish ...they can fry fish but in strips not a full piece of whiting lol -Crab cakes are a plus that one in this video is big you don't want people having to get messy especially during an outdoor wedding

I have to agree with Marcus about the eyelash extensions. To me, they look so fake. 20 years from now you will look at your wedding pics and ask, “what was I thinking?”

Just hearing y'all describe the salmon and pasta sounds like a good choice. It sounds so classy. I like getting stuff I normally don't fix for myself when I go out. I feel you about the pineapples Kayla...I marinate mine in honey and red pepper and then grill them...so good and the red pepper hits the back of your throat....now I want some and it's too cold to be cooking outside.

Hey, Y'all - great video! If you all get fscials for the wedding, do so 2 weeks to.10 days in advance to prep. Sometimes the skin will purge a few days after & you want to allow for that. Apps -make sure that there is fruit salad or skewers for refreshers since the wedding will be in the summer. That could be a part of the appetizer course.

This is it ! Soulfood is probably a better option with multiple options.

Kayla…🤣…you are kind of picky.😂😂😂 I think dying your hair black is an EXCELLENT idea! I did not want to say anything before, but I’m glad you’re going back to your natural color. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!!!! Don’t get any fake eyelashes or extensions. They look like caterpillars. You are really cute and look pretty when you are more natural.

I agree with the food you choose. Soul food come in all different taste. Note on bath room:After a while you get tried of that tub if it’s not in a big open space bathroom in a different kind of space.

I look forward to all the wedding videos on both channels. You two are such a wonderful couple!! Kayla, I agree, no glasses, if possible, on your wedding day. Trust me, you will regret the glare (I did on my photos). However you are pretty with or without glasses. Here's to successful planning.

As a professional photographer I think it's better if Kayla wears her contacts just because the glares from the flashes and lighting and etc gets in your glasses and it can take a while to edit them in post going through each and every photo as well as the fact it can be irritating to you if you want to really enjoy yourself (just snap the picture and go quickly and enjoy yourself) and every photo the photographer is taking you would have to constantly reposition your head face and poses just to try to get as much of the glare out your glasses as possible to get a good edit in post (photoshop/lightroom) which also adds more to the editing process which then adds to the time it takes for you to get all your beautiful photos from your big day no glasses just makes everything go faster and quicker and makes it easier on the photographer as well another thing it can be problematic in off guard photos like when your dancing and celebrating with fam

Loved this video! The lighter menu sounds so good. Maybe switch out the spaghetti for penne rigati or fusili, easier and less fwippy, no sucking noises or spattered outfits. Can't wait to see more planning!

I agree with Marcus is kind of hard to nail soul food/mexican/Italian any type because there's so many ways it can be made people have their own take/flair. I feel like what you guys chose is a good balance. And for Kayla I would say natural look with lash extensions so you feel beautiful on your day but it's also a look like you can carry onto your honeymoon. I love marcus I hate Brown I only want my floors to be brown and accents

Okay speaking on experience I would do the salmon and pasta and do another dish with chicken and like mashed potatoes. Stir away from the BBQ theme! Give your guests two options and that would be the salmon and chicken! But hey that's my opinion at the end of the day it's still whatever you guys decide!!!!🌼🌷🌻

If things are light or heavy maybe you can request a less hardy version or a buffed up version. Idk what is decorum when it comes to food requests with caterers.

You guys do not seem crazy about most of the food. You should keep looking. You can order the couple of things that you like from there like the crab ball bites. If you are not crazy about it. Keep tasting other places. You definitely want your food to be on point because that can ruin a reception. NO GLASSES on wedding day!!

Whatever you choose: 2 diff apps 1 veggie/vegan entrée that's NOT just salad 2 diff meat entrées Small side salads with BOMB dressing/toppings Dessert/wedding cake 1 light prossecco-based specialty cocktail (named after yall or something you love)

I feel like when you grow up eating home cooked, family made soul food...it's hard to find anyone who does it better than family does. Unless a food place specializes in soul food only, but even then. 🤷🏽‍♀️ If I was going to have soul food at my wedding, or for any event, I'd just call in some favors from my great aunties and cousins 😁👍 The lighter menu definitely seems like the better option!
