I love history too. To think that you found a hole that the Indians used hundreds of years ago is a cool thing. Glad you got more gold out of holes you had already dug. I always go back to holes I’ve dug and many times I find more gold in them that I left behind.

Gary, you're a good man. My brothers and sisters are Wintun and they'd take me arrow head hunting on old tribal land. I later found out that I'm technically Wintun through marriage. But one thing I've always done since I was a kid and then thirty years logging was that when I find arrow heads or other artifacts is I bury them, they ain't mine. I really appreciate what you did. Those belong to the old ones. The don't belong as ornaments in our homes. My uncle was a holy man and you might have noticed I'd do a lot more listening to him than runnin my mouth. Good luck Gary

Gary I would love to meet all you guys when I come to California next spring or summer! I rescued a Vizsla dog from a couple who live now in southern Oregon. I will be taking the dog down to Oregon so they can see him again. We became really close friends after I rescued him and they still love the dog so..... it would be really great to meet up and shoot the chit! Thanks for taking the time and showing us a glimpse of your life. I to love history and Native culture. I’m part northern plains Sue! I have some tomahawk heads, arrow heads, spear heads, grinding tinsels, arrow sharpening tools.... it fascinates me. The strength it would take to yield these axe heads and tomahawks.. my word !! Thanks again

Hi Jeff, I miss my home state of California very much. My stepfather use to take us up to the Sierras between highways 50 and 80 in such places as Loon Lake, Ice House, etc. If I knew then back in the 60's/70's what I know now, I would have had gold equipment instead fishing gear. The great thing I love about your videos is that you go where nobody has changed or ruined it like the cities and suburbs such as Silicone Valley where I was born and raised. As of Thursday, 8/6/20, gold had hit a high of $2,064 an ounce, but dropped back on Friday to $2,043. It will still be climbing though as the picture of a recession lurks ahead with the Covid, not Chinese, virus. I won't get any more political than that though. I should be giving credit to Trump because of the looming recession, I turned my whole retirement over into mostly gold and a little silver back in April, and so far my investment has yielded about 25% in four months. The point I was going to make is that little amount of gold you got on this trip yielded you over $200 in this market price. So good going! I love all of your videos, thank you very much for your time and effort into not only the prospecting and travel, etc., but also the amount of time and effort to edit them down. Aloha, Hilo Paul the plumber. P.S. What is the largest gold nugget you have ever found?

Hi again Gary, I commented to soon before watching the end of your video. But the sound was really not that bad, and I see you had your big metal detector. I wish I met you when I backpacked, fished, and snow skied the Sierra's. My mom and step dad had a ranch close to Sloughhouse off of highway 16 and we use to go fishing up around Loon Lake. I also hung out between Lake Almanor and Susanville in a little town of Westwood. Keep truckin as I am kind of stuck in Hawaii now where there is no Gold or Trout fishing like where I was born and raised. Aloha, Paul
