    I have really bad PMDD and get dang near depressed right before my cycle out of NO WHERE and I’m typically a reallly joyful and happy person…taking ashwaganda, l-theanine and also doing walks instead of intense workouts that week…helps so much!❤

    i experience the same thing, right beforehand usually. I recommend sleeping a lot more, taking a break from busy environments, just relaxing around those times!

    Lily, I’m so sorry you’ve been struggling! Don’t ever be afraid to take a mental health break. I’ve struggled with bad anxiety over the past year and I’ve had to regulate breathing, sleep regularly, and eat good foods. Nature is also a great calmer! Hope you feel better.     I've had anxiety since I was a kid and talk therapy definitely helped me understand where it stems from. But even understanding that doesn't make it go away so some techniques or tips I do have are: magnesium supplements, heart-focused breathing, rubbing an ice cube on my face, shaking my body (arms and legs) for 30 seconds, and focusing on gut health by eating fermented foods regularly. Anxiety is a sensation that your body creates to protect you from what it (mistakenly) thinks is putting you in danger. Sometimes accepting the feeling does more than trying to push it away.

    hi lily!! i dont know if this is relevant to you but if you are on the birth control pill, high anxiety can be a side effect and it does follow your normal hormonal cycles ! I have experienced this on certain pills and even if you're not on birth control, estrogen spiking in your system during the cycle can still cause high anxiety! hope that's somewhat reassuring!! still go to the doc to be sure babe

    Hi love bug!!! So I actually went off birth control a few years ago so sadly this is just something else going on in my body. BUT I am optimistic that I have hormones off so when I hit different phases of my cycle and those levels change, I just feel off. Going in for DUTCH testing on Monday so I will update y'all with what I learn!!! Thank you so much for taking the time to reassure me. ILYSM!

    i get HORRIBLE anxiety right before my period ! exactly that fight or flight feeling and consistent crying and no motivation. i always though there was something wrong with me but my mom put it together that it was probably to do with my cycle. now i notice it truly is once a month right before… it feels so much better having a reason to it. but i definitely think i should figure out a solution because it is not. fun.

    Hey I know you love coffee! Same lol, recently though as I get older, coffee has been triggering the anxious feelings in my body. At first, I was like how am I all of sudden anxious all the time. So I took one of my caffeine breaks and had no anxious feelings for days straight. This may not be you, but wanted to suggest it!

    Yes! It could definitely be hormones. It’s expensive but I recommend the Dutch test and working with a natural path. Also look into adrenal fatigue. I’m dealing with this right now so if there is any other info I can share with you I would love to!

    I deal with anxiety and noticed it would get really bad right before my period and a couple days into. I talked to my therapist about it and she mentioned possibly having PMDD (Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder) which can cause anxiety to be really bad before your cycle. It’s worth looking into to see if maybe it’s what you have too. Hope it won’t come back bad for you 💕🥰

    I have heard of that before and def considered it!!! I do think mine is an imbalance because it randomly came about and is more so at the end of my period/before ovulation. I think I have hormone levels changing at those times that are out of whack and make me feel bad:( I am going in for DUTCH testing on Monday so hopefully we get some answers!! Saying prayers for you!
