I remember in middle school I read a book that has the definitions of identities and such and decided that demigirl was the one for me. A few years later after meeting a trans guy (my friend) in school and after quarantine hit I decided I was a binary trans guy. Then genderfluid cause I couldn't tell what gender I was so I decided to switch between them. Then I realized I only had masc day cause I didn't like being a girl. But I still had some disconnect to being a boy. So doing a 180 from middle school me I've decided demiboy is right for me :) Sorry for ranting but my point is it's okay to be confused for awhile. Or for forever if you're cool with being unlabeled. Ps I also identify as queer :)

non-binary just counts as anything that is not strictly 100% male or female (society's percieved Gender Binary), so anything outside either of those is non-binary! Genderfluid, Demigenders, Agender, Genderqueer, Non-binary, Xenogenders - it's all there :)

And I’m pan due to the fact it doesn’t matter what gender someone is, it’s their personality, which is why I’m Demi, if I am not close enough to someone I cannot even begin to fall in love. And I’m also aromantic, meaning even if I’m close to someone, there is a very small chance I will fall in love. I’ve dated someone once but still have never had a crush, more of a just ‘I’d be fine spending my life with you’ situation. In the end we didn’t work out, but it’s fine.

Sorry to unpin the timestamps but I keep getting these comments and it's starting to get a little annoying. I *KNOW* that Alex is gender-fluid okay? I've read the books, trust me I know. But gender-fluid is under the Nonbinary umbrella as isn't in the gender binary, and probably won't ever be considered binary. If you don't consider gender-fluid nonbinary that's fine I'm not going to try and change your mind or anything, just don't comment about it. I know the people commenting this aren't trying to be rude and are only try to make sure he isn't misrepresented but it feels like a back-handed compliment when I get comments that praise the playlist and then chastise me for getting Alex's gender "wrong". I'm sorry okay? I'll make sure to be more accurate next time, but I can assure you that when I put a character up on a playlist I know the character. I'll add gender-fluid onto the title of the video, so I won't get anymore comments like this. And if you did comment something like this please know I'm not mad. I'll still appreciate the comment, and you only trying to make sure I was informed. But I've gotten like 5 or more comments telling me the same thing and I don't want anymore.

Okay so fun story; When I was in primary (I found the Rick Riordan books a bit young) I read the mcga series and at the exact moment I learned of Alex Fierro I loved her/him. Like this was the first time I had heard about someone being anything other than cisgender (as someone who's parents are very.... strange about LGBTQ stuff) and so I didn't entirely understand everything. I mean , yes Alex did explain some parts of genderfluidity to other characters, but more elaboration on the whole wide world of nb peeps was not really included so I really only understood genderfluid= she to he and he to she. (I think there was another term included in the books for Alex but I don't remember and I haven't reread the series in a whillllle so) Just a slightly sidenote part of this whole thing, I used to be very enthusiastic about discussing Alex f-ing Fierro with every living thing I could find, which would include my busmates who I would rant to . So basically this one kid got tired of it and said 'oh my god at this point your going to grow up to be a crazy gay genderfluid cat person' (sidenote for context I had this weird ass phase where I would hiss like a cat and sharpen my nails like talons...... don't ask) But anyway even though there were a lot of other factors I definitely have Alex Fierro, and more importantly, Rick Riordan to thank for me figuring myself as an nb (genderfluid) individual. Riordan put in a bigger effort to incorporate LGBTQ rep in children series than I had seen before and that really did a lot for me, once being a little fourth grader learning about things that would definitely make me more comfortable with being in my own skin. So thank you to mcga and everyone else with me through that . You were amazing, anf also to whatever person reading this, thank you for letting me waste your time with a story that I felt like sharing even though I had no idea where it was going (or where it will go) ((Ps to that kid on the bus... You were right motherf*cker!!))

As someone who is questioning whether they’re genderfluid or nonbinary, this is perfect!!

YES ! I'm an asexual, aromantic, pansexual, panromantic, non-binary boy, and this suits me so frikin much !! Explanation edit : Okay so i reffered to myself as a trans non-binary, you know that but it has changed, meaning that i have edited the og comment. I have many LGBTQIA+ friends, but some of them don't know as much as i do and only focuse on the "LGBT" part. Obviously i trust my friends, and so one told me smth abt trans and non-binary is what i am. I am not trans 😅 I am just a masculine Non-binary person 🙂 I may refer to myself as a Non-binary 'boy' at times, because i find it easier than referring to myself as a masculine Non-binary person. @@retro_geometry6050 No, the way they already identify is perfectly fine if they feel like it properly defines them. We dont need to go pushing people into boxes again, that defeats the whole point of being nonbinary. If we try to push people into smaller boxes, even if there are more boxes, it defeats the purpose. Even if you dont understand a gender identity its important to recognize that they do and theres no need for them to change their label or identity unless that want to. Not everyone likes labels either. To many people it feels confining. To other people it gives them a sense of community or pride. Its all personal preference. So Id suggest not telling people what label they "should" be using if they didnt ask for your input first.

I'm not entirely sure with my gender yet but I think I'm genderfae(it's like gender fluid but you don't feel masculine, only neutral, feminine or other) so this still makes me happy! Edit: so apparently I'm most likely non-binary,but I'm still keeping this comment up to teach others about Genderfae

@@briellehamilton704 hmm if you mean female then maybe look into the label genderfaunet, maybe even bigender, if you mean feminine, you dont have to be masculine to be trans so 🤔 But yeah same kind of, most of the time I feel pretty male but there are days that I feel feminine, but they are very rare and it's not as if I'd like to be a female or be referred to as a woman, yk? Best advice for you rn is think about your gender, maybe for a couple minutes a day and write down what you like each day - try out new pronouns, clothing, and observe dysphoria and euphoria, stuff like that and see where you get :)

As a Nonbinary-Genderfluid chaos child, this playlist makes me so happy!! =D

@@briellehamilton704 well i dont know your agab so maybe start dressing masc/fem and see if it matches your gender? or look up comps of people explaining gender meanings (xenogender, genderfaun, cassflux) and see if you relate

I downloaded this playlist onto my phone ages ago and come across it randomly on yt today. I listened to this playlist DAILY at one point. Whenever I was walking to school dreading the day it would always cheer me up. THANK YOU.

It's so hard to be 'different', to be the black sheep of the family. But at the same time it's so good to be 'different'.

This playlist appeared in my recommended and it made me realize some stuff about myself, so ty for making it!
