I think maybe it's the deep that we're afraid of. It could be very eerie floating at the top of hundreds even thousands of feet of water and not knowing what might be rocketing it's way up toward your silhouette. Very deep lakes are scary to swim in but in the ocean l, with land out of sight, knowing that we can really only guess at what is living there.... It's on another level. The beach though is awesome and not frightening at all. 👍

Great narrating as usual but there is so much wrong with the ending! So you mean to tell me this guy was starting to tunnel vision for lack of oxygen inside the habitat THEN swam to the moon pool THEN ascended 65m and didn't drawn? And let's not talk about the consequences of living at 3 atmosphere for multiple days then going through decompression to 7-8 atmosphere in a few seconds when the chamber breaks and going up inside of a few seconds to reach 1 atmosphere. Good creepy vibes though. love the story.

As crazy as it may sound, a parasitic nuero-toxin manipulating an organisms behavior in a way which benefits the parasite actually has precedent in nature. Should those spikes on the tentacles be a way of delivering said toxin, its plausible it may have effected behavior. Having said THAT, I'm pretty sure it's exclusively mycelium spores which have proven to do this...to bugs. Basic mechanisms of respiratory process render any mobility in a bloodstream devoid of oxygen impossible. No base neural connectivity would be able to overcome the very real restrictions to basic mobility presented by...u know...bein undead

Really good details and character development. I enjoyed the layout of the facility and the poop jokes. I do wonder how much visible surface light you’d actually get at 200’ though between day and night. All in all I’d say it started a little slow, but you had me once it started going right up until the last point where you rushed it. How exactly did they clear the moon pool? They had 3 men in front, water pressure flowing against exiting, and a man giving chase. Then you threw in that these guys supposedly turned into fish zombies and sunk the rescue ship in the few minutes they were away checking the other chamber?? But then these new zombie fish people were unable to puncture or flip a rubber dingy? That needs work. Although it works for the story and you did include the bends your two surviving characters could not have ascended to the surface alive or talking. Impossible. They were down at depth for days. To ascend from 200 feet holding on to a dingy, IF their lungs hadn’t exploded, their eardrums would have, and the nitrogen and bubbles in their joints and tissues would’ve made swimming and climbing onto a dingy virtually impossible.

Pole twist: It was all a sick joke by the research team. Javier was the pet name the team gave to the squid that was stealing their poop each day. Javier sometime reaches into the station to grab the new-rearcher's legs. After the attack the senior researchers would explain the situation and they would all get a good laugh out of it.

Really enjoyed the story. Love a good underwater yarn... But as a diver hearing divers that are apparently working at the 200ft mark (and thus exceptionally experienced) say 'make sure you're full on oxygen' and 'oxygen meter' snaps you right out of the immersion. Other than that bit of picky language use, fantastic narration and fun little horror story.

Didn't expect more than a throwaway line about taking shits in the sea, is that going to be a major plot point or something? Or does the author want to poop in the ocean? What an odd detail to focus on. "Yeah, just go swim in the poop dome" bruh, you ain't got a bucket or anything? This really the most efficient system?

If I could offer a small bit of advice for your incredible readings, I would suggest maybe narrating slightly slower and pacing yourself a bit more? This video felt a little bit rushed to me and I feel like it would've set the mood a lot better if it was taken a little slower and had a bit more space between each sentence. Love your work mate!
