Ramona and Scott are 100% very flawed people (villains), however roxie did join a band of Ex's, with the intention of hunting down the new partner of a previous ex around 4-6 years after they broke up. Believing that if she wins she can restart a relationship with their ex-partner. She is still a villain here

For me, they're parallel universes, not the same. Ramona in the anime comes across as better, more human. A loyal, yet distant friend. Ramona in the film to me came across as an idea, as opposed to a person. That girl you look at from a distance and looks cool, Batman-like. But you never really get near enough to talk to her.

Fun Fact: The back of the knee thing was showed in the comics as the weak spot for Envy, even Scott says the same thing that Ramona said here

This fight easily has the best shots in the entire film. Ramona reaching out stop Roxy, the disco ball shattering and reflecting everyone, the zoom in on Roxy's face before Ramona kicks her. Very DePalma.

In the book, there was an egg for his brain, and then when he finally realized about Roxy and Ramona, the egg hatched out a baby bird.

Edgar Wright has such a talent with making his actors look good in actions scenes. He is one of the directors that can film choreography impeccably well.

Fun fact, both Michael Cera and Mae whitman got their acting start as voice over work in animation as kids. So they technically are the perfect people to portray graphic novel characters come to life. You can see and hear Mae knows a bit on how to give that mange anime type of VO work without over doing it.

As far as I know, Mae Whitman's first acting role was as the President's daughter in Independence Day. So while she got her fame in voiceover work, it's not where she got her start.

You're not mature enough to be in a relationship if you don't grasp "free will". That is, the freedom of an individual to choose to end it. If you have to force someone against their will to stay in a relationship than it's not a relationship. It's make believe pretense childish "I can't handle rejection" tantrum

This is one of the best executed fights in cinema history. It's just so cool and creative and well done on so many levels.

For a western movie this movie has the best fight choreo to me. Shang-Chi close second.

I love this fight because it's the only time I recall Ramona being this involved. Generally, she just stares in the distance. But here, we get to see her full power. She looked like dinamo, wrapped around fireworks.

I don't think "your precious Scott must defeat me with his own fist" gets enough attention.

What a fucking batshit crazy masterpiece of a movie.

Best scene in the movie. My opinion. 😃

I loved this fight scene, but the plot armour for Scott is insane.

The puns in this whole thing are all amazing, I can't pick a favourite although hasbian is a good one
