Raced an open 400 meters at the indoor track at the Armory in NYC at their 2022 Sprint Night meet on 12/26/22. Did I break 60 seconds? Watch to find out!

Your age 55 approach was so much better, and negatively splitting the 200's was impressive! Congrats! Like everyone else I'm looking for that age 55 dunk. Good luck with the ankle and healing up.

If you stay working on it for the next year you'll be sub 55. You need a speed base so you'd also work 50 to 100m. He got a guy who played with it to 10.7 seconds and he didn't used blocks.

Well done guy ! Perhaps if you were a miler, running a first 200m near 30s or trying a negative split will help. Did you ever try it ?

I think it’s more impressive to run 60.00 then it is to run sub 60, I bet top Olympic athletes can’t do that on their first try at 54

He was second place. 1st place did just get under 60 secs. Edit: Also the on screen timer is just a hand-timed estimate. It's not the official time plus the torso has to cross the line first before the time stops. His feet were over the line first so you don't count that.

I was a miler/3K guy in college so never raced the 400 when I was younger. I ran a 52 one time in a workout with trainers on when I was 21.
