Inspector Montalbano is a fictional character created by the Sicilian writer Andrea Camilleri in a series of novels and short stories. The character was adapted for television where the main character, Salvo Montalbano, lives and works in the fictional town of Vigàta, in the district of Montelusa. The Inspector Montalbano series (in Italian called 'Il Commissario Montalbano') is filmed on the most beautiful Sicilian locations, especially the beautiful baroque towns of the south-east. It is very nice to visit them and to experience the typical atmosphere of the series. In this video Maarten tells you where you can find them.

Espectacular Sicilia. Se dice que la pena mayor de una persona ciega, es no poder verla. Y la pena enorme -mi opinión- de los que vemos, es no haber podido visitarla y disfrutarla.
Una serie estupenda con mucho humor y una gran humanidad. No falta ningún personaje. He visto casi todos los capítulos y me parece un "descanso para el alma" en este mundo tan deshumanizado. Mi dispiace molto che sia finita e vorrei che ad un certo punto si possa vedere di nuovo il curatore e la sua simpatica fidanzata con qualche anni in più. Abbracci per tutti cari amici.

Excellent video. Gives a real insight into the environs of ‘Vigata’ and the surrounding area. We love the Montalbano films and, the introductory music (of which you gave us a good sample), is always the start of an enjoyable couple of hours. Well done! A very professional job.

CARO BELPAESE ma come hai fatto a trovare tutto questo! che meraviglia! io ho letto la forma dell aqua in inglese,poi tutti gli altri in italiano,ed e il mio orgoglio per k non sono italiana,quando ho visto i dvd non ci credevo e ho subito comprerato.amo montalbano,CAMILLERI certamente.ed e tanta la mia passione k gli ho compreato anche in tedesco per fargli vedere a mio ex marito ed anche al nuovo marito,anche lui tedesco ma sicomme a lui piace leggere glio ho comperato quasi tutti i libri in tedesco! poi pian piano ho comperato tutti gli episodi in italiano,per che anche si qua in germani mio recivitore e italiano non sempre riesco a guardargli. un ultima cosa....mio fratello somogli incredibilmente a montalbano.e una cosa veramente alucinante.solo k mio fratello e piu alto ma...guarda in italia mio fratello con le donne avrei solo solo il imbarayo dalla scelta. ma,te cosa faresti per avvere gli arancini di natale che tanto ama montalbano!!!!!

Try Jules Verne Travel - I went with them on a tour of these locations 5 years ago. Well worth it!

Thanks for the feedback. Since it has been seven years since I made the video, I also found out myself that my pronunciation was not completely correct. By the way, there should be an apostrophe in "the writer's name". Try to improve your English😉
